I think you'd love it. I have one. Several in my league have them. Similar to a predator shaft. Take a look at the ebay store for Nielsen's Billiards. A beautiful black one with a break stick and case is about $280. Good deal. tim

I use the ebay collets. Nice, but boy, they are soooo stiff. They always leave a ring on the shaft. I'd prefer the thinner plastic ones. Of course, that was until my cat decided to hide them on me. tim

We just did a replacement. THere isn't that much ferrule material on the uncapped LS, so you can pretty much use whatever you'd like and be fine. We drilled out a piece of old Micarta and it works fine. Any other modern, non ivory material should do fine. tim

Nice to have front weight. However, I just put some weight in the back of one of Chuck's regular wood screw cues with that old style taper of his. Lights out one pocket or 14.1 cue. Just lights out. tim
