Restoring a table and room from 1770

Bob: This was a great find! Thank you for sharing it. The production was so well done, right down to that awesome dog looking up at the table. Fascinating to learn that the playing surface would have been parquet. I too wondered about the balls and was guessing that they may have been...

New York Larry Gendler Has Passed - RIP

Brian: I've seen Larry at Shooter's but never got to know him. However, your stories have given me a good picture of a man whose long life was well-lived. Sorry for the loss of your friend.

    Happy birthday, Smorg

Smorg was a unique character. I got to meet and play with him at Rack's in Titusville at an RSB gathering. He entered the room with his arm in a sling, a patch on one eye, using a walker. His props during the game included a compass and something else, maybe a protractor. I got to meet up...

Another great installment, Brian. Thanks. The tables in Terry Kearns' room in Windham were Jafco tables, and they were, as Bobby mentioned, very fast.

Interview With Road Agent, Bobby Hunt - Part 3 Added

Brian: I'm about a half hour into the video and had to stop to say thanks for an awesome treat! I first met Bobby when he crushed me in Norwich, CT in the mid 70s. He has always been a gentleman, super nice guy and a pleasure to be around. Thanks to you and Bobby for putting this together...

Anyone Know Of A Guy With Deformed Arms Nicknamed "Flipper"?

Brian: I knew a similar player while growing up in eastern CT. Same deformity, same nickname though it was seldom uttered. Although he played decently considering his challenges, I doubt that it's The same person. Once I feel getting back to the room, I'll give you more info. Roger

    Cuemaker problem pics

The OP said that he was told that he wouldn't be charged for the "tops." I took that to mean that the maker was referring to the ends of the caps where he admitted that he had issues engraving the Roman numerals. Personally, I like the diamonds better as they tie into the rings. Roger

HELP: Advice Needed for Cleaning-Up Old Cue

Don't be surprised if you find out that he works in a dental lab. The father of a friend of mine owned a small dental lab in CT and used such a buffing wheel for crowns and dentures. Father and son, both long since passed away, were both excellent pool players as well. Roger
