That's some pretty low strength steel with a torque spec near the max torque spec for the rails. I'd probably go medium strength steel.

SOLVED! I worked out a fast foolproof method. Pry center of staple up slightly, cut in half and pry out each side with my guitar fret pullers! These grip right at the surface of the wood and pry out like a claw hammer. They even grip the broken staples and pried those out. 2 down 4 rails to go.

Use a tiny bit of solder on your iron, the solder is the conduit through which the heat travels fast from the iron to the insert. Well I heard back from Diamond...it's minimum 4 month wait. Plus some other unwelcomed news. With Christmas fast approaching I opened FB Market Place and BAM! I'm off to start a GC IV Pro 8 thread and reserve a 12 foot box Uhaul trailer.

A Darth Vader Diamond is appealing, my space is full of oak, hickory and black granite so a black PRC would look awesome. But I found lots of posts complaining about keeping the black PRC rails cleaned and buffed and other annoyances. What's the hardness of the PRC?
