    American heritage pocket size questions

I’m buying an American heritage table on Tuesday. The guy took it apart in order to refinish the table. So the rails are off it. I’ve set up, leveled, re-railed and re-felted several tables. So I was just going to do so myself. Just had a question about pocket size dimensions. So local league...

Finally ripped the horrible tip off.

I purchased the 11.8mm 30” pheonix shaft awhile ago. It came with this piku trifecta tip. Which I do not like. It constantly glazed over, didn’t hold chalk very well(I use the v10). Had to scuff it often, it also had a click to the hit that I didn’t like. Just overall a bad tip IMO. Not sure if...

    Carbon fiber shaft question

Okay so I’ve been seeing a lot of small companies and persons on Facebook selling carbon fiber shafts for in the $200-$300 range. Anyone have suggestions for one of these unknown people having any gems? I think I’m going to buy one and see how I end up liking it after shooting for awhile. I...

    Circle metal magnetic stickers wtb.

Anyone know where I can get those little circle metal magnetic stickers for the bottom of taom chalk? I have this bad a** chalk holder coming from Etsy. But it’s not magnetic. So I’m wanting to put one on the bottom and use my strong magnet belt clip. I bought this one that use to hold it with...

We’ll definitely not going back to that place again.

Went to a local place today to shoot in a tournament. First time being there. Never ever again. Waste of $10. For one the tables were horrible. The rails had indentations, one rail was loose. Went to shoot a slow roll ball into corner pocket for position on my next shot, the ball went towards...

    Pocket angle vs pocket curve.

So what’s the difference between American tables which has a hard angle at the pockets vs snooker and Asian tables which have it curved? Does it make that big of a difference? I’ve never played on a table with curved rails at the pockets? Wouldn’t it be easier to stretch the cloth in the rails...

Couple months ago I told y’all some big news…

So a couple months ago I told y’all I found out my fiancé is bearing my first offspring. Well we got all the dna tests and stuff like that. So far very healthy baby. No signs of any illness or birth defects. My fiancé is having some heightened blood pressure but the doc has her taking baby...

So I bought a Frankenstein table and I found something

I bought a Frankenstein table a couple months ago. I’ve recently started replacing wood on it and I’m going to make the table look a lot better. So I pulled off one of the skirt boards and noticed a few holes in the wood. Found a 45 round logged in the wood lol. Table must have had a few hustlin...

OB Phoenix 11.8mm 30” shaft initial review

I ordered a new Phoenix 30” shaft fro OB cues. One of the last 11.8mm shafts that they made. They no longer make the 11.8mm. My initial thoughts are that it’s an awesome shaft. I’ve always like the torrified wood hit. The taper is a conical/pro hybrid. You can’t really tell with the conical part...

    Joint material question.

I’ve been looking to get a custom made finally. So my shooter right now is a meucci that’s from the early 90’s. It has some brown plastic material as the joint. I kind of like how the hot feels, it’s softer. I have shot with a stainless joint on a couple cues and I never liked them. I ended up...

In search of a cue maker to make one piece cue into two piece.

I have been given some really old 1 piece cues(maybe 50’s and 60’s) that were at my grandfathers table and then my fathers and now mine. They are at their last leg of life. So instead of letting them die, I’d like to revive them and get one made into a 2 piece cue with some added inlays or...

Purchased a crappy $50 cue from Amazon.

So I bought a shitty $50 cue on Amazon with threads that were 5/16x18. Just wanted to experiment with my shafts. I have two black dot shafts, a regular meucci shaft from the 80’s and also a OB Phoenix shaft. So it got here and I threw on the black dot and OB shaft and dang the cue actually shot...

    Joss cue from 80’s-90’s

Anyone have a joss willing to part ways with? Nothing too expensive. $500-$600ish? Not sure if that’s asking too little for one of that age. My ex father in law had a joss cue from the 80’s and I remember playing with it when I was younger at that was one of my favorite cues feel wise. Is had a...

    Questions regarding ivory and travel.

I don’t own any cue with ivory or anything thing like that. Just curious. If you can’t bring a cue that has ivory into countries or places like that. Why not just say it’s not ivory? How can they verify it actually is ivory? Just say it’s a material that almost looks identical under a...

Found the best thing to burnish and slick up a shaft.

It’s a freezing day here in nebraska for the day. So I had my leather mechanixs gloves on when I came into the house. I went down to shoot for a couple hours and had my gloves sitting next to the table. After playing for awhile I let the oils in my hands accumulate of the wood shaft. Then I put...

How to put new insert into slate for rails.

I just bought this used table. I’m having a problem with two bolts for the rails. It seems like the insert is no longer there. Is there a way to replace this insert? And or add a new one? I was thinking about just adding and insert into the wood backing of the slate and going that route. But I...

Got my table in the house today.

Finally got my table today. It’s an old beater. But the slate is in good condition. I’m excited to have a table at the house. Anyone in the Omaha area wanna teach someone how to level one??? I have a baby on the way and once I seen the $1000 price from a company to come level it. That’s a big...

    OB phoenix shaft 11.8mm questions

Was wondering if anyone has any feedback on these shafts? I just pulled the trigger and got one. I don’t like carbon fiber shafts too much. But I heard a lot of great things about the torified wood shafts being close to carbon fiber. But with a hit similar to maple.
