Looking for the best sealer for shafts. I've finished furniture, fencing, etc. And use lemon oil in the house, but apprehensive in getting Thompson's water seal. Zero chemicals are preferred. I realize sometimes you can't get around it. Thoughts please.

Been performing cue repair fort five years. Tips, tapers by hand, ferrules including 314's. I believe I've a solid method of gluing phenolic and poly carbon tips with just glue from Atlas. Would two part apoxy be better and if so what is the best one. Thank you for the insight.

Seeking feedback from this platform about whether installing a pad between tip and the ferrule is beneficial or extraneous.
