    cue roller recommendation

I was looking for a cue roller, and settled on the Crical brand, via Amazon. They are well made, have some heft to them, i.e. steel, albeit made by the ChiComs. If you are shopping, take a look.

    Looking for a cue

Basic design, lots of cocobolo, Hoppe ring, points or no points, wrap or no wrap. Just point me at a decent production cue for under a grand and save this old guy from stumbling around the interweb. TIA

    any downside to this??

Got an aftermarket shaft that is correct thread for existing butt, but is a bit wobbly screwing on. Anybody tried a bit of white teflon plumbing tape to tighten up the fit?? I don't have any tape handy to try, so I wondered if anyone had done it before me. TIA.

Buy it or take a pass.

This is 25-30 years ago. You are shooting pool; guy comes up to you and offers a cue for sale. It's about a $200-225 new price cue, in decent shape, rolls straight on the table and rail, both together and apart. He wants $75. Do you buy it, or take a pass? I bought it but caught...

    standing up as you age??

Do you find yourself shooting more upright as you get older? Or, is it so gradual that you don't notice? I think of Allison Fischer with her chin right down on the cue, and then Mosconi and Fats shooting much more upright. This just a natural progression?

    old timers using heavy cues

I am just curious if any old players used a heavy cue.....23 ounces or so, or heavier. Or if there are any players today using a heavy playing cue. 19 seems to be the standard, with most within an ounce or 2 of that. Just an old guy sitting here wondering.

    21st century sneaky pete???

go to pawn shop and buy a non-descript cue butt that is straight and has a standard joint, buy a good maple shaft to fit and the best tip for it. Maybe a butt with a NFL or NBA design or NASCAR or beer brand. It would be ugly and hacked together, but it would play great. What do you think???

Not for sale, just looking for current value

I have 2 Predator first edition/generation 314 shafts,, fit Schon thread. I think I paid about $200-225 or so for them. I have had them more than 25 years. One was my player, the other a backup. Both in good to great shape. I can't recall the tips, but probably Mooris. Just curious...
