    Cue Id anyone?

Just a guess but maybe Adams??? Recent eBay purchase, I really liked the design. 8 Points (4 high 4 low) with MOP dot on each large one. Neat ring work. Not sure what you call the MOP shape on the butt sleeve... a cog? Pin is 5/16" x 18.

    ID this cue anyone?

It has 2 short points and 2 long points. Wrap was removed. The pin is 5/16" x 18. The writing on the point looks like it was added on top of the finish then maybe clear glue added on top of it. Any ideas would be great.

Just got this neat old tool

I gave this machine to my father. I was just curious though, could this sort of machine be useful in a cue making shop? Its 2 HP and has 1/4" & 1/2" collet. The motor can be mounted above the table (pictured) or below the table. The foot peddle moves the table upward for pin routing.

    Info about Pantographs

As I am ever so slowly collecting tools to one day give cuemaking a try (as a hobby). I recently aquired a lathe, so now I thought I would look for a pantograph. Are cuemakers still using these? What should I look for in one? Table size? 2d or 3d? Ratio needed? Any other tips/advice?

    Router Question ??

I was cleaning out my fathers shop a couple of weeks ago and came across a neat device for the lathe. I think its a die grinder holder. It mounts to the compound just like a tool post would. I believe its for the grinder in the second picture (I do not own one yet). My question is can they use...

    Lathe Opinions needed.....

This is what happens when you have to much time on your hands. Seriously though, before spending all this money on specialty equipment. I would like to experiment a bit to make sure its something I enjoy (looking at this as a hobby only). Basically I dont want to be one of these guys spending...

Anyone know who does that kind of work? Also, would this case be worth saving? The outside is ok, but the interior needs to be redone.

Please ID this Cue & Case.....

The last owner thinks it was an old Adam. I tend to agree but I am not that knowledgeable and would like more opinions. I noticed in the "book" that Adam cues are well documented and I dont see this model listed. If it is an Adams is it a custom order or something? The pin is 5/16" x 18. I...

Please help with ID of yet another cue

This cue has great craftsmanship to it and has that old Hoppe style look to it. But its just in to good of condition to be very old. The finish is perfect. I dont think it is CNC since the points dont all stop at the exact same hight but very close. Thats just a guess, I have never owned a CNC...

Please help with ID of this cue

I think this is a Rich cue but the 3 green rings in the butt sleeve are different. All the rich cues I have seen these rings are all the same size. This one has 2 large outer ones and a small inner one. Does anyone know of a Rich example like this cue. The pin is brass 5/16" x 14. The cue came...

    My first tool purchase........

So I decided to start a new hobby and learn how to make pool cues. I know its not easy but I enjoy a good challenge. I am approaching this very slowly and have no desire to rush into it. I bought Mr. Hightowners book & videos and I also have a couple of Mr. Barringers DVD's as well. I plan on...
