i know this is a guitar article but since cuemakers use ebony and parts of elephants in cue production i hope you cue makers find this article interesting i posted this also in NPR but i figure many of you dont go there (which can be a good thing)...

my friend found an article from bob meucci regarding balance point from 2002 he discusses the ideal balance point should be around 16.5 inches from the bottom of the butt plate (+/- 0.5 inch) and gives his resoning for this i am not a cue maker but it is my impression most cues today are...

i am finding it does not stay on the tip as long as the green a respected member who i asked about this told me "they do seem very similar, if there is a difference I would say it's the other way around, the blue seems to coat the tip better and stay on about the same." for those that have tried...
