    Billiards Shoes?

I swear that I've seen a picture of shoes, maybe from the 1920's?, that were made specifically for billiards. Basically wingtips that had a flap of leather that went over the toe, that you'd rest the butt of your cue on. Anyone have a picture of something like this?

How much does the tip affect the hit of a shaft?

I've got a Wizard M on my shaft, which is a Jon Spitz shaft with 20 grpi, and I'm wondering if changing to a Kamui S would change the hit very much? I don't have a lot of experience with different tips on the same shaft, so I thought I would ask.

    WTB: Old viking bumper.

I think that this bumper is off of an old Viking from either the late 70'S or early 80's. It's for a guy who shoots at my hall, and needs to take it out, but is afraid it will crumble once he does. Anybody know where I can pick one up?

Quit playing for a little while...

And when I got on the table the other day, it felt like I didn't know what I was doing (not that I ever knew in the first place  ). If you quit playing for a couple of months, how long does it take before you're back on top of your game?

So get this. (APA League Operator Rant)

This is going to be a bit of a read, sorry. At the beginning of this last session, I decided that I would start playing in leagues, and joined BCA and APA. I hopped onto a great APA team and thought we would do well, even going so far as to say that we might make it to Vegas. I mentioned...

How to get chalk out of a cue case?

Could I hear some ideas on how to get chalk out of a cue case? I've tried the old "turn it upside down and shake" method, just wondering if there are any other techniques out there that might be slightly more invasive?

New Crazy Cocobolo From Jon Spitz

So I finally got my first custom cue! After the fiasco with Jim Lee, I contacted Jon Spitz out of Chicago about doing something a little simpler, like a fancy pete. The cue weighs 18.6oz, is made up of a hoppe style bumperless cocobolo butt, curly maple forearm, Black G10 3/8x10 Radial Pin, an...

Issues with Jim Lee, Part 2.

Hey guys, so as you may have noticed, the original thread was deleted due to some members going at each other. I messaged Mr. Wilson and was told the reason, which I think is fair, and was given the go ahead to post up a second thread that is something of an update to the first. Hopefully this...

Who plays with the lightest cue?

I've recently taken the weight bolt out of my playing cue and have been playing with it this way for a couple of weeks. I think it probably weighs in around 15.5 ounces. Just wondering who uses the lightest cue around here and what that cue might weigh?

What's your favorite BCA legal break tip?

Which one do you feel works the best for you? I plan on shooting BCA, so anything phenolic/resin related is a no-go.

    I got destroyed last night.

I got completely and utterly destroyed lastnight. And I can tell you exactly what I did wrong..... Everything. It was if I had never played pool before in my life. I was over-complicating shots, being careless, not playing confidently, not playing safe, not keeping my head down, not...

    Who's a bad customer?

Alright, bad might be too strong of a word, how about antsy or excited? I know I am any combination or maybe all of the above. I have a cue on order from Jim Lee right now and it takes everything I have not to pester him with questions every other week, I do pretty well if I can limit it to...

WTB: This is the general design I'm looking for.

I'm looking to get a sneaky pete made out of some really nice wood. I'd like a darker cocobolo used for the hoppe style bumperless butt and really curly maple used for the forearm. I toyed around with the idea of getting a curly shaft made for it to match, but that's not required, just let me...

WTB: This is the general design I'm looking for.

Not sure if this is the place to put such a post, so I copied it over to the For Sale section as well, feel free to delete if needed. I'm looking to get a sneaky pete made out of some really nice wood. I'd like a darker cocobolo used for the hoppe style bumperless butt and really curly maple...

Curly Maple Shaft, who can make one?

I'm thinking about getting a Sneaky Pete made with some figured wood, such as cocobolo and curly maple. To go along with it, I wanted to try out a curly maple shaft, as I've read they offer a pretty stiff hit. Anybody know of a cuemaker that works with curly maple shafts?

Anybody in the U.S. make something like this?

I'm living in a smaller house at the moment and simply don't have the room for a pool table. I thought about putting one outside under the carport, but figured it would probably get ruined out there. Then I came across this in a japanese auction and was wondering if anyone in the states made...

    WTB: Pocket Reducers

Hey guys, thought I might post up here before I bought from ebay. I'm looking for a set of Practice Pro pocket reducers. So far I've found them for $30 shipped, but was wondering if anybody had a set they might not use anymore? Let me know. :D

Can I do tip replacement myself?

Without a lathe or willard tipping machine or anything of that nature? I'm not opposed to getting a Porper Tip Clamp or a cutter, just didn't want to spend a lot of money on it if I didn't have to. I'll probably only be doing my own tips, so nothing elaborate is needed. I'm searching for...

I think I need to slow down.

Been playing pool off and on for a long time. Lately I've been playing a LOT more than usual, to the tune of 2-3 hours of practice every other day, so I decided to get serious about my equipment. I picked up a new sneaky pete, jump cue, and some accessories, as well as having a custom cue...
