    Rubber for snooker rails

We need new rubber on a 70's vintage 6/12' Brunswick gold crown snooker table. It has original step rubber with a 1/4" flat facing for different size balls. We use from 2 1/16" to 2 1/4" balls and original rubber accommodates well. Tried everyone from Brunswick to Muellers. Some have step...

    subrails

Do I use 1/4" on all pockets or 1/4" on corners and 1/8" on the sides? 1/4" on the sides seems like it would make them too small.

    6/12 cloth

Our golf tAble now has simonis 300 and is plenty fast, however the thin cloth really magnifies the rolls. Any suggestions for cloth with comparAble speed but maybe thicker?

    I phone break ap

Just got ap today and was surprised that very few could break 20mph. I know some pros can aproach 30mph. What are some average speeds around your room? It is a fun ap, if you don't have it, it is only $4.99. A lot cheaper than a radar gun!

    Are some pool players stupid

or just desperate? Out of towner comes in today whose name many of you would recognize. He is looking for an old local from whom he won a little over a thousand a couple weeks ago. The old man is still willing to gamble but wants 2 games in a race to 7. The out of towner hangs around all day...

Anyone have the correct cut angles for pockets on a GCIII and GCI(assuming they are the same)? Seems like I remember 11degrees vertically from the top of the rail to the slate, but not sure. Have no clue on angles of side and corners.

The great thing about this forum is that most people here are striving to improve their game. Most realize that it takes a lot of work and practice, others are still looking for the magic pill. In that spirit, I would like to share something I learned years ago that took my game to another...

    Brianna lathe

We took delivery a few weeks ago of a new lathe from Lee. It is very precise and solid. Lee customized exactly what we need for our small room in Flint, Mich. at a very reasonable price. I really like the 1 3/8" headstock and the steel bed. We do not intend to ever build cues, but the bed is...

    effective promo for regulars

May not work for you, but it works for us. Table time is $3/person/hour. Whenever someone uses over $10 in time between 12 and 6 or between 6 and 12, we give them a card with their name and date on the back. We explain that they only need 4 more specials in the next 2 weeks to get a free...

What are your eyes and brain seeing at

The moment you strike the cue ball? This has been discussed many times before and it seems that most good players see the cue ball contact the ob. The question is are you seeing the spot on the ob, the cb, the shaft, the pocket or some combination of all? This is an area that seems to change...
