Best cloth for 10ft Snooker table?

Hey all. I’m having an American snooker table setup in the next couple weeks. I’d like some opinions on cloth. Thinking Simonis 760 or Gorina 2000. Obviously less worried about burns, so maybe the 760 will do? The table will see some humidity so maybe a lower wool would be better?

    Wanted: Uniloc cue

Looking for something forward weighted. Thinner butt would be nice. Prefer to be around 20oz with shaft. Wrap or wrapless, don't care. Pretty is nice but quality is a must.

Paul Dayton Thuya Burl Ebony and Birdseye for sale $1250

Up for sale is my personal cue. It was made for me by Paul Dayton in 2011, to my specifications. 19.5 oz, 58 in. The forearm and butt are Thuya Burl with Ebony points outlined in Maple. The grip is Birdseye Maple. The ringwork is a combination of the three woods. Points are hand cut, sharp and...

    9' Brunswick Limited Nine FS

I'm selling my baby guys. Divorce has forced my hand and I can't keep it. Limited Nines were a special order item from Brunswick back in the 70's, leather toped rails. Play as well as a GC II but all Pecan wood and beautiful. This one saw little use before I bought it and the rails are...

    New Paul Dayton

Just wanted to share this with you all. Paul was great to work with, very fast and accommodating. When I first got the cue back the stain was a bit dark on the handle, Paul took it back and refinished it no charge! It's all Birdseye, Thuya Burl and Ebony. More/Higher-res shots...

    Most Consistent Tips?

I recently got hit again by a mix-matched batch of LePros I had put on all my house cues. I may have fallen prey to someone using up the last of a box after cherry-picking singles for friends. Still if the tips were all shipped alike this wouldn't be an issue! Just wanted to hear some opinions...

Excellent results tonight by changing one thing with my stroke

I lengthened the back-stroke of my practice strokes from approx 4 inches to 8. Simple little thing. The effect is probably more in my head but hey that's fine. I probably paid more attention to my stroke by consciously doing something different, and anything would have had the same effect...

Farm a great hitting old house cue for a shaft?

I need a sanity check everyone. I've got a 35yo Dufferin that hits spectacularly. Came free with several others when I purchased my table last year. Much less deflection than most of my shafts. Taper is exactly what I like, just inside of constant ending around 12.5mm tip. Nice firm hit. I'd...

Do you play "Close to your work" on purpose for potential hooks?

I've just started playing 9-ball as my main game recently having spent the majority of the last 13 years playing others. One of the things I've noticed is that I often play position close on my next shot, "close to my work" as they say. 9-ball is such an open game, yet I'm not taking advantage...

Tips for teaching my kids how to play?

Any parents out the with advise on teaching my three boys the game? They're 6,10 and 16. I'm most concerned with whether to worry about my youngest two developing a side-stroke. No Willie Hoppe references needed. It just doesn't look sound I guess I'd be pleased if they play period :) Thanks all

    Need a Brunswick table IDed

Anyone happen to know what model this is? Seems like a reasonable price, but I'd rather hold out for a solid players table if this isn't one. http://orlando.craigslist.org/fuo/1925226749.html

Feedback on Shot Diagram Generator tool I'm writting

I'm working on a tool that will allow people to quickly diagram shots similar to the ones you're familiar with from instructional books. I'd really appreciate some feedback as I'm working on it. Shot Generator I intend on using the product myself to build up a collection of shots bundled...
