I'm looking to add a grizzly lathe. I don't need it for tapering. I want it for precision work , live threading and coring. I going to change the chuck and possible getting the 5C Collet Chuck. 1st question is would the collets damage the work. The big question is which lathe and here's why...
I haven't posted any cues in awhile so I was overdue. The Coco is full cored with purple heart and really nice BIM. Pics dont do justice. Second is a old valley one piece conversion.:)

Hi, I was wondering and hoping someone may clear it up for me. Isn't type D, better for durometer testing tips then type A. I bought a cheep digital one that broke when it feel off the bench. It was D type that seamed too work o.k. Thanks Frank

I'm using the Ridgid Router R2400 with my Unique taper shaper. The bottom bearing has to be replaced quit often. Due to wear/heat. My question is has anyone tried the Ceramic Bearings instead of the 6002 bearing. Thanks Frank
Yesterday i was in search of a replacement bearing for my router. Stumbled upon a Grizzly gunsmith DF1237G. great shape and clean. 3 and 4 jaw chuck. upgraded post. collets and tools. Hes going to be retiring soon and will be asking $1500 . Any info on this type of lathe. TY Frank
In the last year i had a few customers asking for these tips, lately I'm finding them soft and spongy. Has anyone else see the fall in quality in the Tiger Emerald Laminated Cue Tips. Also what do you guys think of them. TY Frank
