    Flatter tip for 14.1

    While watching Oliver Ortmann's commentary of his 150 and out video, he mentions that he uses a flat cue tip for 14.1. Any thoughts on this? Does he mean flatter than quarter shape?

    Heavier cue for 14.1 ?

    I once heard that a heavier cue is better for 14.1 because a strong follow shot to plow through the rack is one of the most important shots in straight pool. Or would i be sacrifice another part of my game. I currently play with 18.5 oz. Any opinions, Thanks
