How can I increase the weight of shaft?

Is there a substance you can wipe on a shaft to increase it's weight somewhat? Preferably a substance that's also beneficial to the wood and wouldn't discolor it too much and won't affect the way it feels after drying. I'd like to add about 1/5 oz. if possible.

    A nice pawn shop find...

I get lucky every couple years or so scouting the local pawn shops for cues. I believe most pawn shops are offering most of their cues through e-Bay now and the pickings have become rather slim lately. They had this cue priced at $79 but I couldn't resist dickering and bagged it for $60 out the...

    Full Time Push Out...

I'm familiar with the rule where, after the break in 9 or 10 ball, you're allowed to push out and the incoming player has the option of taking the shot or giving it back to you. Looking for shaft wood...

I'm posting on behalf of Tom Coker who's looking for a good and consistent source of shaft wood. He's running low on his bowling alley wood and hasn't been able to find more locally. He expressed his interest in finding new wood as opposed to more bowling alley wood. Any leads would be...

Who else makes shafts for South West cues?

Which cue maker(s) would be a best choice to make spare shafts for a South West cue besides South West Cues themselves? A cue maker that is able to match collar material and rings indistinguishable from original South West shafts and able to match shaft weight closely is strongly preferred.
