    Matching shaft to butt

    How big of a job is it to match an "aftermarket" shaft to a butt? In my case, the shaft is slightly over-sized, i.e. it "over-hangs" about 1/4 the way around the joint but is flush the rest of the way around. Both shaft and butt have collars w/ a silver ring.
