    Schmelke or Meucci?

I'm playing with 150 McDermott but am thinking of changing. I like the idea of customizing a cue from Schmelke but also like a couple of the Meucci's and their reputation. Any ideas/thoughts? Thanks

    Ferrell aiming

There is a video on YouTube by a guy who uses the sides of his Ferrell to aim ALL his shots. Cut to the left, the left side of the Ferrell points to the aim point. Cut to the right, the right side of the ferrell points to the aim point. Anyone else tried it?

    Butt size?

I have a 3 year old McDermott, only paid $150 new, and only get to play Oct through mid March - golf lessons the rest of the year. I have small hands and wonder if the butt sizes of all cues are the same. I think a smaller butt on my cue would make my grip more consistent. Maybe my thinking is...

    New 8 ball game

I don't know if this is where this goes. If not, I apologize. I've been watching a lot of Heath Manning's instructional videos on Youtube. During a phone conversation with him, he told me that he had developed a new 8 ball game. After the break, the table is open. If the shooter chooses...

    new piece

I heard a couple of guys talking about a product I hadn't heard of before. It's 2 1/2" long and goes between the butt and shaft of the cue. They said it costs around $30.00 and is available in different pin sizes. What is this product and what's it do?

    Why not?

Why don't WPBA players play one pocket? One pocket or straight pool matches on the women's side would be very entertaining.

    Shaft material question

I've seen shafts from various cue makers made from Canadian maple, American maple, and Birdseye maple. What's the difference, other than cost. For three manufacturers, the birdseye maple was $25-$50 higher than the American maple. Is one a better wood than another? Is there a difference in...

    Decisions, decisions

I have a McDermott cue. It's an EB Clasic, EB01-CLO. The butt is blue. I recently purchased a Jacoby LD shaft with a 3/8x10 pin. I only get to play pool from March through October as I give golf lessons. This is the 3rd winter I have been playing again after a 25 year layoff. A couple of weeks...

I currently have an inexpensive ($150) McDermott cue with a Jacoby LD shaft. It plays very well but I'm thinking of getting a Jacoby cue/butt to go with the shaft. Any thoughts?
