    List of Living 200+ Runners

Steve, George Rood passed away last year (October 2010) and was 95, almost 96, I believe. I believe Todd, owner of Airway Billiards would have info on whether George ran 200+. I would not doubt he did, he was one of the greats, and stayed below the radar for the most part through his career...

anyone have any stories about George Rood

George was at Airway Saturday, I was there to knock 'em around while the wife and son went to the mall, and I ended up getting into the straight pool tournament. He seemed to be sharp mentally, but was in a wheel chair. I am not sure if he needs it to get around or if it was just easier for...

    Questions about Antique Brunswick table

Thank you for the link! I am going to look into maybe just cleaning up the table and possibly cleaning up the brass a little bit and maybe redoing just the rails and leaving the skirts and legs alone. The tables in that link are absolutely beautiful. I wonder what the Algeria table he has...

    Questions about Antique Brunswick table

I recently bought a brunswick Algeria table from the second owners. They had the table since 1973. It was in its original spot from new until 1973 and when I took it apart to move to my house, it had the person's name who put it together in 1973 inside it. I am amazed at its beauty, but it...

Scott, Thanks for the reply. I was joking a bit about trying to sell it at a profit, but I would probablly sell it with the house because I believe it would go so well with it. I just want a good 9' table to shoot with since it is nearly an hour drive to the nearest GOOD poolroom with 9'...

    Need help IDing a Table

Thank you for all of the replies, I aplologize for not posting this in the table mech area... I thought it looked similar to the Algeria, but not completely (I found the link that was posted up, that prompted me to ask here since it was only similar). I bought the table, sight unseen for $800...

    Need help IDing a Table

Can someone help me in identifying a table? It is supposed to be a 1800's era brunswick 9' table. Unfortunately the wall rack was sold seperately from the table. I am getting it for my victorian house, it should be a nice addition once I clean the table up and knock out a wall to accomodate it...
