My experience with 7 carbon shafts so far

I have built a few shafts with the Chinese blanks (for others); basically, installed reverse ferrules (vault plates) and phenolic joints. They start a bit less smooth verses the mainstream shafts (Revo, Cuetec, Jacoby, Meucci, etc); however, some light wet sanding with 3000 grit makes them...

My experience with 7 carbon shafts so far

I have not gotten my hands on an Ignite shaft yet. I hope it isn't similar to the United or BeCue versions; some appear to be more plastic than carbon.

My experience with 7 carbon shafts so far

The Jacoby Black deflection is lower than the Cuetec but closer to that of the Cuetec Cynergy than the Revo. The Cuetec has a double wall and the rather large ferrule creating mass. The Jacoby Black doesn't have the large ferrule; however, they included some very high dense foam and had to...

My experience with 7 carbon shafts so far

All shafts have some deflection, zero deflection simply isn't a thing. The Meucci Carbon Pro (MCP) is a great hitting shaft with a nice pro-taper and great feel. However, the MCP has more deflection than several of the other carbon fiber shafts. The tenon area under the ferrule and extending...

My experience with 7 carbon shafts so far

The core of the Jacoby Black is a very high dense foam. The deflection increase over the Revo is caused by the CF build-up at the leading edge. The build-up is support threads cut into the shaft wall that join the threads on the OD of the ferrule.

My experience with 7 carbon shafts so far

Carbon Fiber Shaft Reviews I have seen several posts here and other sites about the different shafts. Low deflection, taper, hit, sound, feel, etc. Obviously, most of the topics are subjective; what feels best to some, can be hated by others. I am fine with subjectivity; however, not so much...

Looking for a Used Cue Lathe

*** Found What I Was Looking For *** I am looking for a used cue lathe; ideally someone is looking to upgrade to something bigger.

REVO Black Marks on rails. Wonder why?

This is common with every carbon fiber "composite" shaft on the market. It is more prevalent with Simonis cloth as the weave can be quite abrasive. This more prevalent with players that shoot on (use) the rail while cueing. This is a combination of the CF as well as anything being transferred...

    Leather Wrap Adhesive (Non Flammable)?

I checked out your EverTack link, it says "This is a non-flammable, water based contact cement! You use this glue just like any other contact cement...apply to both pieces..." However, you mentioned only applying to one surface, is it your experience that one surface is better than both?

    Leather Wrap Adhesive (Non Flammable)?

Elmer's is the only thing I have used on linen but not on leather. I certainly like the instant stick provided by contact cement on leather. Can't say that I have even tried to stick leather to anything using Elmer's glue; obviously, there isn't a tack time, does one even apply glue to both...

    Leather Wrap Adhesive (Non Flammable)?

It's more about using a spare room in the house verse the garage/shop for some wraps during the extra cold days. Once the central HVAC kicks on, it would easily carry. I have no complaints about the red can, just wondering if anyone has actually tried the low VOC stuff

    Leather Wrap Adhesive (Non Flammable)?

Has anyone tried the Dap Weldwood Nonflammable Contact Cement for leather wraps? This stuff has some very mixed reviews on Amazon; seriously, some say it's garbage while others now say it works great and they will use nothing else. It appears to have a longer tack time and picky about...

    ISO a Wrap Fixture

*** Found - Bought a wrap fixture *** No longer looking Looking for a wrap fixture. I see the Magic on a few sites at $495, that's quite a bit for someone not intending to use it commercially. Is someone having a used fixture available feasible?

An open note to Predator regarding REVO availability

With all due respect, I think your position is ridiculous. Predator Revo shafts are price fixed for authorized retailers; they sell for $499. There is a current demand but no product... to think they will purposely wait for sale competition with others (Mezz and CueTec) is pointless when they...

The REVO is taking over pool

My reasoning for the Revo is even more simplistic, I have always hated the cleaning process. The only thing worse than being OCD about having a clean shaft would be dealing with any sort of dent/ding in the stroke area. The Revo as solved both of the pet peeves for me without any negatives. I...

WTB New Aramith Tournament (Duramith) Ball Set

As in the title, I am looking for a better price on a new Belgian Aramith Tournament (Duramith Tech) ball set. Is the online pricing or $296 to $326 the best it gets or do dealers have any movement? PM me if there is a better option.
