    Ghost ball users, post here

What you are describing is indeed a variation of ghost ball method. Dr. Dave has a video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyySqG_Asbw I think one important aspect of ghost ball that is not always emphasized enough is the overlap between the balls (ob+gb) and how it changes when moving the...

Cue Ball last glance or Object Ball last glance?

It depends on the type of the shot. For simple cut shots i look at the OB last, but for specialty shots (masse, jump, break e.t.c.) i look at the CB.

    Focus management

Thanks. I'll keep Mr. Parrish in mind. In the meantime, is there anything i can do on my own or just accept the ups and downs until every new skill becomes part of my game?

    What are you thinking?

When i am down on the shot i am not thinking of anything. I'm just observing; the perfect shape and shine of the balls, the cloth between my cb and ob and my cue smoothly going back and forward on my bridge hand.

    How would you play this?

Yep, the link is working. As far as the layout is concerned, a hook on 8 ball would be my choice. Soft stroke, thin hit on the left of 7 just to move it in position where a medium follow will pocket the 7 and break the cluster, provided you get ball in hand.
