Any straight taper carbon fiber shafts?

Thanks for the reply...the Jacoby Black is a pro taper... I'm looking for a carbon fiber with a straight taper or conical taper also known as a European taper... there are carom carbon fiber cues that are conical, but they tend to be shorter than an american pool shaft

    Mezz ignite reactions?

mezz ignite reactions- It is very well made as expected. Zan medium wavy joint. The hit is excellent. The Revo which i tried a few times (smaller diameter) had a hit that felt kind of hollow, like tapping a concrete block with a drum stick. The ignite hit feels solid but not pingy, it's...

    Mezz ignite reactions?

sounds good... curious to hear reactions Did the softer tip reduce the energy transfer? I have been using a wx900 for a couple years now. I prefer a boardy, stiffer hit and have developed more consistency as the original kamui black soft hardened up. I'll be able to give the ignite a hit by...

Fall shipments just arrived and it’s crickets out there. I ordered one and it has arrived but I haven’t returned from out of town to try it out. Anyone out there with any initial reactions? Thanks

Counterintuitive and fascinating. Not asking for any special effort but do you have a breakdown of the numbers?

    Applying Neuroscience to Pool

thanks for putting up this thread. The brain-computer we all have working when we are shooting is a black box, we don't really don't know what's going on in there, but routine is clearly a given when we are talking a target sport that requires still objects being moved toward a target...

Cue from the late 60's ID help??

sorry to resurrect the thread, but I was wondering if I could ask the forum if they would care to at least provide an opinion as to when this cue was likely made? I think the maker of the cue will remain a mystery, but it would be nice to kind of get a consensus view as to the approximate decade...

    10 pack bar box 8ball

no question about it. 8 ball on a barbox is far more difficult than 9 ball on a barbox. 15 rotation is another story.

Cue from the late 60's ID help??

I don't know anything about custom cues (i just learned some of the terminology in the last couple days) by a google search, Mr. Balabushka didn't make any Dufferin or brunswick conversions. The white butt cap (don't know what the material is) would have been added to a dufferin? thank you...

Cue from the late 60's ID help??

oh well, I was sure that someone would see that 'B' and the look of the collars and say "oh yeah' that's this guy" If no one knows here likely to remain a mystery.

Cue from the late 60's ID help??

I am not sure how much his uncle played with it. Maybe wasn't his playing cue. I really don't know. The old ferrule was the same color as the butt cap. Dufferin has been making cues since the late 60's I just read, and it certainly seems that the 'B' emblem is the right size for the Dufferin...

Cue from the late 60's ID help??

it is nicely made in a very simple way. I doubt he'd sell it from a sentimental perspective. I guess it wasn't necessarily made in Baltimore, that's just where his Uncle was from. He was fisherman, handyman, construction worker, and a friendly drinker who loved to shoot in the north east. His...

Cue from the late 60's ID help??

I thought it was a nice color choice too, it goes with the overall color scheme. It has a hex bolt as a fastener- not sure if that's common or interesting. thanks
