Smo sst is whippy. I can play with it decently but not my favorite.

You should be able to ask, what coating, how many coats, the process? I was able to ask these things and even make some request for my cues.

Q Question, do you get wary when you are down to your last ball before the 8 ball? Or worry about the position just before? I would say just play casually with your last ball rather than playing it conservatively.

Looks like they cheapen out on the coating. I had my bocote around your breaker or something a bit more darker.

It did bring him success. But other than that, he loves playing the game and appreciate the gifted players abilities and motivate him to enjoy the game. I remember him spoke highly of Efren and somehow rediscover things that pool players play the game.

If you love the game, investing time on it shouldn't be an issue.

My recent cue is a combo of bocote forearm and cocobolo handle/butt. I love the hit very much. The upcoming one is cored Bem forearm + ebony handle and bem buttsleeve.

Deflection aside, one main reason why I like cf shafts. It's not warped and resistant to dents, dings, etc...

I use buttermilk instead and let it cure for days atleast 3. Wipe it off after and have it air dry til it's very dry. If I get impatient, I let it dry by putting a fan on it. Then leave it pressed for atleast 48 hours, 3 days at max for me. Hits like a hard tip but spins like a soft tip.

I believe that is now the general trend. While aesthetics and cue preservation or durability takes priority now than pure or authentic resonance from a solid full splice wood. Although even there is loss of pure characteristic of wood itself, I believe there is still some level of identity that...

How dare you speak of soft tips being dead! 😆 imo, I would think that the so-called dead feeling that some are saying about cf shafts is it feels unnatural if you have been accustomed with wood shafts for a very long time. For me, it's not dead but I find the feeling weird or different at first...

I have one under construction and I have yet to try the macassar but I would guess it would be much heavier than my existing cocobolo and might hit much more solid than it. I'll see once it's finally done and arrived. Anyway, did you like it Jay?
