Just had some brass inserts come in but the united pins could not even go into the inserts which were 5/16-14. Probably due to the difference in the minor diameter. If the brass inserts come with a slightly bigger minor diameter, they may probably fit.

Hey Willee, Thanks for the sharing. By boring the hole for a very snug fit, do you thread the hole to fit the pin? or you simply push the pin into the hole?

qbilder, this is a similar concept to self aligning pins right? Just that you are applying the same technique on the cue itself.

I'll follow your advice and probably make them 3" long for a try. But up till then, I guess I have to include repolishing as part of the pin changing service. :embarrassed2::embarrassed2:
