    Refinishing dinged up rails

I recently purchased an Anniversary and refinished the rails. I would not recommend using a belt sander as it is difficult to control the amount of material you are removing in any given spot. The walnut on the rails is maybe 3/16 of an inch thick, I don't have one available to measure right...

What type of rubber is on my table?

Well I pulled a cushion off of one of the rails tonight and sure enough it measures just a hair under 1 1/4 inches on the backside. I'll check to see if the subrail angle is right and if so call it good. Thanks everybody for the help. I'll keep you posted on the project.

What type of rubber is on my table?

Rick, Does poolfelt.com sell Brunswick Super Speeds? Is there a real difference between the Brunswick branded product and Championship Tour Edition k55? With so many opinions out there it makes it diffiult to make decisions. RKC, I'm traveling to Seattle tomorrow. I could bring a rail out if...

What type of rubber is on my table?

Oh no.... It's not good when RKC is lost. I guess these things come up when you're dealing with a table that's 60 years old. I'll remove the rubber from the subrail and post a picture so you guys can check that out. And just to double check, either Brunswick SuperSpeed or Artemus...

What type of rubber is on my table?

I'm with you Rick. It's good news that the sub rail wasn't modified. I'll get some k55 ordered up and move on. Thanks again for help Todd

What type of rubber is on my table?

Rick, The measurement you're looking for is 1 3/16. That measurement is consistent on both sides of the rail, I removed the cushion facing on the other side and measured there also. Short of removing the rubber that's the most accurate measurement that I can get.

What type of rubber is on my table?

I really don't know that there is a problem. I've never played on the table. I bought it from a guy in Colorado and hired out a local guy there to dismantle it and crate it up for shipping. Now I'm trying to figure out if the rubber is correct (k55). The guy I bought it from said that he...

What type of rubber is on my table?

Rick, You are correct, there is about a 1/8 of an inch at the bottom of the subrail.

What type of rubber is on my table?

Yeah, It's just under 1 1/14 inches on the backside of the cushion. My problem was that I didn't remove a cushion facing and measure that first. I was hesitant to do that because I don't want to replace what I don't need to. The measurement from the top subrail/cushion seam to the tip of the...

What type of rubber is on my table?

Guys, I should have removed a cushion facing earlier. From the measurement on the backside of the cushion it looks like this is k55. I took a straight edge and ran it parallel to the bottom edge of the cushion then measured from that edge to the top of the cushion, it measured 1 1/4 inches. I...

What type of rubber is on my table?

Glen, I'll pull off one of the cushion facings and check to see if the rubber is flush with the bottom of the subrail. As to skill set, I do have a good table saw, miter saw and other tools. My woodworking skill set is reasonable and I also have friends with good woodworking abilities. I...

What type of rubber is on my table?

Glen, Thanks for detailed response. I really can't tell if the top of the subrail is slanted toward the rubber but it would be safe to assume that it has been sanded down if it's got k66 rubber on it. The question now is what are my options? If the bevel angle of the subrail has not been...

What type of rubber is on my table?

I recently purchased an old Brunswick Anniversary table and am trying to figure out of it has k66 or k55 rubber currently installed. The rubber is in good shape so I would rather not replace it but also want the table to play right. Since the rubber is still installed the measurement I?ve made...

Shipping a table from Colorado to Minnesota

Thanks for the response. I checked out DHL and they don't accept furniture or household items so I'm suspecting they won't ship a pool table.

Shipping a table from Colorado to Minnesota

I purchased a Brunswick Anniversary that is located in Colorado last week and need it shipped to Minnesota. I had a local shop tear it down and they are crating the slate and packaging up the rest of the table. Does anyone have experience with getting a table transported? I'm looking for a...

    New rubbuer for Brunswick Anniversary

I purchased an Anniversary in Colorado yesterday and am having it shipped to my home in Minnesota. I will have the rubber and cloth (Simonis 860) replaced on this table and am looking for some info on rubber. The research I've done says that originally this table would have used a k55...
