I have a chance to pick up a like new Keith Josey Bacote Merry Widow one shaft, and a 8” carbon fiber extension. The seller wants $700 is this a fair price? I’ve been out of the loop for several years so I’m not sure on pricing these days. TIA! I apologize if this is the wrong section to ask.

Asking what you want is absolutely fine, just don’t misrepresent the cue as done here. You tarnish your reputation and people won’t deal with this kind of individual.

A different shaft and tip does not make it a one-of-a-kind. Even picking the piece of Bacote doesn’t make it 1of1. If I put a predator shaft on my Huebler does that make it one of one, NO it doesn’t. Point is, Do Not mislead unknowing folks as it does not help your reputation!

Does the extension screw into the butt, or does it go between the butt, and shaft? Also joint pin type please. I'm assuming 3/8 x 10 ? TIA.

Martin, They usually are not from the USA, but then some are. It's getting harder all the time as these scumbags are getting better at it every day. I'm glad they didn't get away with it this time!

Sadly this is our society today. The internet makes it far too easy to take advantage of others. You really need to do your homework when dealing with folks online. It's unfortunate that these scammers are making it very difficult for us honest people to buy, sell and trade anymore.
