yea if i go across the room, 85" not gonna cut it. and would have to go projection... and its a big 20 foot wide 10 foot ceiling wall.

yea thanks. this may be plan B, they even make some chairs with extra 8" in height so you dont need to build a platform. still not the ideal layout I wanted. but if i cant come up with a way to move the table I want, i may be stuck with it in the middle of the room 100% of the time.

havent bought the table yet. was considering a Presidential Archer used table from nearby store. my flooring is 3/4" hardwood on top of 3/4" plywood.

yea its a tough call for me, im gonna sleep on it a week or so , I have a couple exposed beams to cover in the room regardless in the mean time. I agree that its prob not smart to create something that is a PITA to setup. i would only do if its a 2-3 min transformation to go back and forth...

It’s tough to say I haven’t had a pool table since I was living in my parents house 20 years ago. I have a 7 and 10 year old. I have been trying to get a pool table room for a long time. We all love movies. I think they both get similar use.

its the same room big 15'10" x 20' plus the bump out the idea in that image is just a curtain up when the "movie room" is in use. I would move the pool table out of the way (like it is shown), move the chairs into position and open the curtain when its "movie room" time. the arcade machines...

yes i saw this , it gave my hope as my situation is alot simplier. but the track idea makes sense.

i have more than 5 feet from every wall, just not the arm of a chair, gonna have like 38" to couch in one corner of the table.
