2026 CSI Expo and Tournaments moving to Westgate

Have attended both APA and BCA nationals/worlds at both locations. The Westgate is a way better setup and supports the organization and pool players a lot better. Also, easier to go to strip with the Monorail.

    McMinn/Wrong Kick Shot

I think one rail was the right shot, especially with the pressure. The thing that made it tricky was that he had to put right english on it in order to be able to hit the ball. There was a ball that was in the way with the straight kick. Having to put a slight touch of right english made it a...

    Cloth color

It has nothing to do with the shaft. Players mark up the tables by contacting the cloth with their tip and dragging it along the path of the cue ball. Cue tips might play a very small factor but regardless of the type of tip, those players will still mark up the cloth.

    Cloth color

I prefer blue but have only played on the Shark Grey in a couple matches. The gray looks better in the Mosconi Cup when the carpet is red/blue. Most home pool rooms will look better with blue because a LOT of people have gray walls. It always looks better with contrasting colors.

Mass Shooting At Maine Pool Hall & Bowling Alley

Sounds like most, if not all the victims at Schemengees were playing in a cornhole tournament, not that it makes it any better. None of the victims there had a fargo rating that I could find. Two of the victims at the Bowling alley appear to maybe have a fargo rating. Jason Adam Walker and...

    Pool Player Podcast............... WPA

WPA is a non-profit, so any money coming in has to go for salaries or go out. They have to stay within a budget and can keep a financial reserve. I don't think they have to share their financials. They have to keep to the rules of a non-profit.

    Pool Player Podcast............... WPA

I am kind of on the WPA side as well, but the only thing keeping that organization going is their affiliations with the federations. WPA's problem is there is really no benefit for a promoter to sanction their events. The only so called benefit is that you will guaranteed to have players from...

    Fedor Departs CueTec...?

I don't think there really is a market for Shoes and Apparel. It's more putting logos on shirts and collars. There isn't a big enough market for someone to have their own shoe line for an example. Maybe in Vietnam or the Philippines.

    Mosconi cup wildcards

JJ might as well go out with a bang and select Roberto Gomez with the last spot. Might as well not delay the inevitable and kickstart the process of having only a couple Americans on the team in the future.

    Fedor Departs CueTec...?

This is an older article in 2017 but definitely gives a good summary on golf sponsorships and how that has trended. If Fedor can afford it, he should be hiring an agent to seek out sponsorships. https://golfweek.usatoday.com/2017/08/15/pro-golfers-play-field-when-it-comes-to-sponsorship-deals/

    Fedor Departs CueTec...?

Surprised it hasn't happened yet. I think at this point it is more on the players to make the right moves and contact the major brands. Unfortunately most or all of the big players do not have higher education and don't have the knowledge of how to do it. They also don't have the money to be...

    Reason for “expensive “ chalk

I think most are more of a creature of habit and don't adjust as quickly. For me, it's more how it feels in the hand while chalking. Played many many hours with the Taom and still can't adjust. But I am kind of messed up in the head a little and a little superstitious.

    Reason for “expensive “ chalk

I doubt SVB changes anytime soon unless one of the other chalk brands pays him a lot of money. He has won all his titles with Masters and is used to the feel. He is a creature of habit and went away from his ghost cue and back to his white cue because he said it is what he won all his titles...

    3D Printed stimpmeter

That's pretty cool, as a golfer and a pool player. Could use it to determine how fast a table is before a tournament.

    US Open Brackets are up.

The seeds should be a combination of their rankings and Fargo. Maybe seed 96 of the players by the rankings, then the last 32 seeded players by player review, ie. look at Fargo...

    US Open Brackets are up.

This is a direct reflection of Emily's stubbornness and her not thinking Fargo is legitimate. She has been asked in an interview and quickly rejected it. They should be accounting for fargorate when trying to determine the lower seeded players. There is players that are seeded that have no...
