If you can't consistently beat the ghost playing BIH, there's no reason other than unfounded arrogance to consider anything tougher. Hell, until you can do the same with a 6 ball ghost, I wouldn't recommend playing the 9 ball. Screwing up harder stuff doesn't make you better...

The other thing I thought was a lack of random oscillation. The balls seemed to spin on one axis the entire time. I could be completely wrong, but that was my impression...

There's actually a mathematical formula for determining the correct number of cues for you,.. n+1=x Where n is your current number of cues and x is your ideal number. 😁

I went with the buy once, cry once philosophy. Just got my diamond. The thing is a beast. We're going to put a cushion on it and use it as additional seating in our smallish pool room too.

I tend to play league against maybe 525ish and above almost exclusively. Still mot worried.

This... Maybe I'm the exception here, but absent gapping the rack in 9-ball, the people I tend to play aren't at the level that I worry a lot about how they rack the balls...

One thing to consider, if you're dead set on breaking with the cue you might want to avoid a kielwood shaft. From Richard Hsu himself, due to the process of creating them they tend to be a little more brittle and could be damaged by continuous breaking...

Is she the only one playing? Hitting down on the cue ball can cause burns even at relatively modest speeds, so if her/their stroke isn't very level I could see some burning. Having said that, that strikes me a lot for 2 weeks! What was the actual brand of cloth?
