Those are ivory and not original to the box. As I understand it, the "Gold Diamond" is part of a series of cue balls from Brunswick that were sporting a single diamond in a few different colors: gold, blue, green and black.

    Interesting vintage balls

I know this is an old post and they aren't in your possession, but do you happen to know if these are still available?

You should be fine going straight to the Aramith cleaner, it would probably just take a bit more. I used a diluted white vinegar solution for cleaning up the nicotine stains, safer than chlorine.

That's probably nicotine stains. I recently cleaned a Gold Crown cue rack that was filthy with nicotine and had a similar experience with those yellow stains. If you search back through this thread, K2 has a post regarding cleaning phenolic resin balls. Basically it comes down to using only the...

Very nice! I'm going to have to brush up on my French now. I was curious about the size of those Aramith Poker Pool balls. Are they 2 1/4"? I was talking with a seller in the UK who has these and believes they were only made in 2", but I'm thinking that was just for the UK market.

What's the deal with the dice balls and the set of balls 1-5 to the left? Are they fancy casino and bumper pool balls or are there special rules for them?

I was curious to see if anyone had some info on balls like this below. It's an old 2 1/4" ball that looks to be made of clay, although I've heard the speckled stripe may be made out of other materials (at least with other similar balls). The grain of the speckles is finer than what I've seen on...

That rack is amazing! I've been keeping an eye out for a vintage rack like that, but now I'm thinking about trying to make my own. Where did you get the decals at?

Alright, thank you guys for convincing me it's not a mold/mildew problem. Still a little disappointing it has these flaws, but I can live with it.

I got my set of gumballs from an independent auction house, not the seller on ebay with the multiple sets. Although after talking with the auctioneer, I suspect mine originally came from the same batch as those selling on ebay. As I mentioned, the box that came with mine had quite a bit of...

I'm glad everyone is enjoying those Dynasphere Tungstens and that I didn't steer you wrong. But back to the gumballs and cleaning. I was wondering if anyone has noticed dark speckles on the yellow-green ball? I suspect this is some mold/mildew, as the box I received was moderately covered in...

    Anniversary Rails

The rough estimate I was given was $500-600. We hadn't discussed the rubber, but I did mention I'd like the pockets tightened. I paid $575 for my table setup and new 860HR. So that's about another $1000 for the rail work, which isn't as expensive as I thought it would be. I suppose I should...

    Anniversary Rails

Clayton Trask's crew from Level Best Billiards in Georgia set up my table. And yes, I've had a brief chat with Mark Gregory about the rails. If I recall correctly, Clayton was one of the recommended installers by Mark.

    Anniversary Rails

Thank you gentlemen for your responses! It's been enlightening. I took some imprecise measurements of my table and it looks like the cushion nose is sitting at about 1.45 inchs and shooting from the head spot through the foot spot, I'm getting a little over 3 table lengths (on a 9 foot table)...

    Anniversary Rails

My Brunswick Anniversary table could use some new cushions. As I understand it, modern cushions have a different profile than what was originally on this table. I know one option is to have someone redo the sub rails to accept modern cushions but that's out of my budget at the moment. If I were...

Hi Chuck. I noticed there's a seller on ebay, aesbilliards, that is selling 3 singles from that football set. It's unfortunate there's not a complete set, but it could be a start of one.

Hah, I'm actually a fan of the platinums, but they're definitely not a traditional looking set. They are on my list to buy, particularly after trying the tungstens.

In regards to other online billiard vendors, has anyone ordered from canadabilliard.com before? They seem to have a large stock of some of the more interesting Aramith sets, such as a full baseball billiard set, bonus ball 99 and bocetta. Or how about...

Hi longhorns2, yes, that's where I placed my order from. They are very slow at processing orders. Given how low that price was and how long they took, I had assumed it was a price mistake and it was going to be canceled. However 12 days after payment, I received an email saying they were...
