    Can any wood be repurposed?

I have a custom built IKEA desk… Seriously no, this is not useable for cue making. Technically wood but no, not cue material.

    Best Combination.., your opinion

I also used to use a Pechauer Pro. I put a Tomahawk vault plate style ferrule (a little longer than normal but I figured I could cut it down if I want to later) with an SIB soft tip. Loving it so far.

Jump Break Tip that works good for both jobs

Yes! Purpleheart break shaft, black Tomahawk ferrule, and a white phenolic pad. Love that thing!

Jump Break Tip that works good for both jobs

Just switched from a Samsara to a C4 Break/Jump tip recently. They do come in different crazy colors, but also plain black if you don't like crazy. Breaks better and I like the feel of the break better too. Holds chalk better too.

    Kielwood shaft cleaning? methods?

Link below. I use a small iron now but either works the same. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/need-advice-for-refinishing-maple-shaft-and-shaft-maintenance.559406/post-7689894

    BK Rush tip

white diamond broke great, I just hated the feel of it. I’ve use Bulletproof and Samsara and liked them a lot. Just switched to the C4 tip and I think it might stay on there a while.

What cue manufacturer(s) would you say has the best customer service and warranty?

Pechauer has a great warranty, and great customer service. The couple times I used it, there was no friction at all. Heard the same from others too. I currently have seven that play great.

White vault plate vs Black vault plate, does it matter?

I don't see the difference myself. I focus on the tip of the tip and ball. I switched from an Ivory Ultraskin to a Blue SIB (C) and didn't notice a thing. but like every other part of the cue (debated throughout AZB) it's personal preference. (A and B) are the same shaft. shortly after making...

G 10 pin on break cue?

Hey Kim can you elaborate on the Aluminum pin? Is there a problem in general or just breakers? My breaker currently has an aluminum 3/8-10M pin, and I have had no issues so fare. I have not tried a G10 yet. Scott

    Tip wear just from chalking?

I’ve been using Sliver Cup for years. Four month old SIB soft barely worn with 6-7 layers still left.

    Spot on the wall distance

Shouldn't matter other than the distance you can see clearly. It is a straight line to the point. Any point along that line will be the same.

Purpleheart shaft vs maple for dings - Break cue

Agreed, if you prefer CF then I recommend finding a cheap one. But I wouldn't say they never ding, they are just harder to ding. I have seen plenty of damaged CF. I just prefer wood myself. The purpleheart shaft is also pretty tough and has been great for me. If it does ever get a ding, I'll...

    Tip wear just from chalking?

Still a lot of old school bar bangers out there that don’t know better. Anytime you see chalking on TV (or movies) you see drilling and grinding. Looks cooler than gingerly painting it on. Plus reluctance to change a locked in pre-shot routine will keep it alive. Then there’s also the shark that...

Purpleheart shaft vs maple for dings - Break cue

I have made a few Purpleheart Break shafts. This is the one I made for myself. It is a great break shaft. Slick, powerful, and solid. I have had zero issues with wood damage. Black Tomahawk ferrule and a white phenolic pad. trying different tips right now. Bulletproof was great as always, using...
