Is removing your glove a shark move?

When I didn't want to take my good playing cue to the bar , I'd take my sneaky Pete cue which was 6" over length and I used some 2" PVC pipe with a cap on one end and a clean out adapter on the other . I always caught crap for it until they seen just how well I played with that cue . So in some...

    Great Pool Room Stories

I understand that . At the Empire was where Lance Saunders , Jerry and Paul Schmito hung out and played quite often . There could have been another fella named Norm also ? Another fella named George who had a foo man chew that reached down to his belt . Then there was Lance's big brother...

Is removing your glove a shark move?

Darn right I was trying to interject a bit of humor , as misguided as it may of been . Cabin fever was kicking in I guess as it's still snowing out.

Is removing your glove a shark move?

Since my Dr put me on oxygen a few days ago, is that considered "sharking " if I have the oxygen machine over my shoulder ? What if I take it off to play my games ? The hose is about 5' long is all . ha ha One good thing is my blood oxygen level is 95 when I checked it last .

    Great Pool Room Stories

Cowboy Jimmy Moore was hired by George Frank to go around and play some exhibition matches in Montana and in the Dakota's I had the honor to play a few racks of 8 ball on one of the 9 foot tables and it was amazing what Jimmy could do with a pool cue in his capable hands . For me this wax a...

    Longer cue for big tables?

I've got a 12" extension that I use every once in awhile , mainly if I'm left with a hard to reach shot by whomever I'm playing against . More times than not it sits in my cue case .

I know of a gal who if she seen these eye lashes she'd have them and would be wearing them all the time ! When I first seen her and her husband and their family I thought she had a caterpillar over over each eye ! Yes she had problems keeping both eyes open ! I swore she reminded me of Groucho...

    Great Pool Room Stories

Back during the Miller World Series of Pool , I made it to the divisional held in Billings , I arrived with plenty of time go spare and sat at a table close to the pool tables a friend of mine walked in and sat across from me with a empty 3rd chair after a few minutes a young gal walked up and...

    Longer cue for big tables?

A good friend of mine was converting Dufferin cues into 2 piece sneaky Pete cues back in the late 1980's he would add a 6" butt section to the cue and kept them rather thin , I used it on both bar tables as well as the 9' tables I also added 2 extra shafts for it . I still miss visiting with...

    Gloves and Carbon fiber shafts

I just started wearing a glove when I shoot , I'm old fashioned and still play with a wood cue , I've got a JP cue that I've got a Rogue shaft for and I like it but I like wood shafts better go figure ! I'll add that with my rheumatoid arthritis and the shots I give myself for it and the glove...

    Over age 50 Mosconi Cup?

I'd enjoy another " legends of pool " show playing 8 ball and 9 ball along with 14.1 races to 100 or even 150 in a round robin type format . I realize finding a central location for such an event would be difficult at best and sadly it would be back east somewhere or Las Vegas possibly Reno for...
