How do LOW-COST CARBON FIBER SHAFTS Perform Compared to the Best?

In light of comparing across videos, I decided to summarize the results. Based on the Revo changes between videos, I decided it to multiply results from first video by .77 to account for changes in cloth, etc and this gives same result for Revo in second video. I also added a field called...

How do LOW-COST CARBON FIBER SHAFTS Perform Compared to the Best?

Dave, it seems that there were more significant performance differences between the higher cost shafts such as Revo, Whyte carbon, J. flowers, etc Aside from Revo, it does seem the lower cost shafts tested outperform several of the higher cost shaft brands if you include results from both...

Filler at The Derby 2/1/2026 Just won against Shane 9 B 9-0

Digital pool has a glitch sometimes and it will assign a player a single digit Fargo rating. I am not sure if this is due to tournament director punching in data wrong, or choosing the wrong player. In this case Filler won his match against Andre Schickling, who is a (663 Fargo rate) with a...

Hayden Ernst 14 Years of age...Straight shooter

Fun fact: over 8 matches at Derby, the Digital Pool performance rating for Hayden is estimated at 771 😱 That's pretty strong! He definitely played better than 687...

    Are pool players team players?

I dunno. A lot of people seem to thrive in the league scene. Think APA. Also Mosconi Cup provided a lot of entertainment and debate. I think a lot of players wanted Team USA to be more competitive.

    Whyte Carbon shafts

Yup, I had a lot of curiosity about it. But for 50% mark up over the most established carbon fiber product at $750 and sponsoring the world # 1 player, I haven't hear a whole lot about it in my circles.

    Whyte Carbon shafts

Hi all, I was wondering if anybody like to share their feedback on the Whyte Carbon shafts. They have been out there for a little bit now, and are charging a premium price above the Revo and Cynergy, yet I haven't found too many solid testimonials or reviews. Dr. Dave noted that these deflect...

    Whyte Carbon Shafts

Anyone have a solid review on these Whyte Carbon shafts? I saw one review on youtube, but it looked when the reviewer hit some shots, it looked like he was less experienced. I think Dr. Dave said they have more deflection than a Revo, but there doesnt seem to be as much reviews to go off of.

Illuminated Cueing arts vs Projection Pro Billiards systems (ICATS vs PPB)

I improved from legit 525 to legit 558 Fargo in 1 year, and I think the icats system helped with that to an extent. I think doing drills helped, and I would mark them out on the table off paper diagrams. I've only had the icats for a couple of months, but they include the same drills that I have...

Who builds the Becue, full pool cues, and are they popular?

Maybe start a new thread for this question? You could do what some sellers do and offer a price for each item individually and a discount price for the lot.

Super Strong Woman Player Chezka Centeno

I feel like this wasn't her best showing. I feel like she let off the gas pedal on the first set. Super talented and fun style though

    Masters Chalk glazing over?

I tried an inexpensive fix and it seemed to work. I dampened the top layer of Masters with lightly with water and it seemed to have added some moisture back into the top layer and got the chalk to adhere a bit to the break cue tip. I know conventional wisdom says it is a bad idea for chalk and...

    Masters Chalk glazing over?

It does seem to happen often. Masters is cheap so I can switch out whenever. My guess is that the Pechauer C4 break tips just slight softer than phenolic tips and this perhaps compresses and hardens the chalk when I apply. Other than that, I am in Pacific Northwest so I am sure it is cold and...

    Masters Chalk glazing over?

Here is picture of the middle of my Masters chalk turning hard with a dark shiny area in middle. Hardly sticks to break cue at this point

    Masters Chalk glazing over?

Yes, I will get a picture. Usually once this happens, I donate the chalk to pool hall or bar I am at. But the surface of the chalk gets very shiny and hard and the break tip will just slide over the surface of the chalk. For leather tips, the chalk is still functional, but it is frustrating to...

    Masters Chalk glazing over?

I have been having trouble with Master's chalk getting super hard and glazing over. Once this happens, I can barely put any chalk on my break or jump tips, (I use the Pechauer C4 tips). This seems to happen fairly quickly before the chalk even gets worn down to far. I find myself switching cubes...

Who builds the Becue, full pool cues, and are they popular?

I do like that they make a 31" option for their carbon fiber shafts as that is what I use. However I have not hit with any of them. Their butt designs are not quite pleasing to the eye and are pretty high priced. Too me, the designs look a bit Temu. I find it a bit ironic that a overseas foreign...

    Josh Filler 2025 results

Yes, he definitely has the highest Fargo still. But as far as coming out in the first or second place lately, it would seem like he is lacking.

    Josh Filler 2025 results

Does it seem like Filler has not been quite as dominant lately? I noticed his name seems to be absent from later stages of tournaments as of recent. Does anybody have any insights into this?
