Left handed chalk - for left eye dominant players

I have the same problem with shotgun sports (sporting clays, skeet, etc). I am a mix of left and right-handed, depending on the sport. I shoot a shotgun and pool cue right handed - and I'm left eye dominant. I didn't find out I was left eye dom until much later in adulthood - too late to...

Legion Balls - what are they?

Thanks. They are getting donated to the dorm rec room. Will get abused and left behind when he moves out after spring semester. Can’t bring myself to donate my Dynasphere Bronze set.

Legion Balls - what are they?

I purchased an older set of Aramith Premium balls from FB seller and they threw in an extra set of balls that were made by Legion. I've attached a couple of pictures. I can find nothing about them anywhere. Does anyone know what they are? I was going to give them to my son to take to...

    DIY Polisher...be gentle :-)

For sure. The motor isn’t fit for the job. We are more just playing with it to have some fun together. I’m eyeing the old 5 speed drill press on my garage. High torque and low speed of 760 rpm. Taking the head off of the press easy. Mounting it inverted with drill collar up…not so much...

    DIY Polisher...be gentle :-)

Update...so we tried one more thing to supercharge our lil engine. I asked what would happen to a sock on a string vs a metal weight on a string if I swung them both as fast as I could and then stopped...he got the idea. So we added about 1/2 pound of large washers around the perimeter of the...

    DIY Polisher...be gentle :-)

Agree. Polisher makes a racket. It’s the easy button solution though. I’m going to try to not go that way to keep project within my son’s goal of circular spin

    DIY Polisher...be gentle :-)

Nice find on the 11" bonnets - ordered us one. Thanks!! So...we tested the motor with all the balls and....it works...but sluggish. Any recommendations for a higher torque motor so we end up with a product he can be proud. It is still better than polishing by hand, but very marginal performance.

    DIY Polisher...be gentle :-)

OK guys...for our DOE we made a cardboard version of the top plate we would build and cut out a few circles. Had a good talk about the value of cardboard for use as templates when building. We cut our microfiber towel and stapled it onto the carpet covered plywood disc. Turned out great. With...

    DIY Polisher...be gentle :-)

Thanks for the feedback guys. We had a lesson this morning about torque and speed. I asked him to hold a hand drill collet and he couldn't stop it from turning. I asked him to hold the 12" plywood plate on the fan motor and stop it from turning. Clearly a difference. Next step is to learn...

    DIY Polisher...be gentle :-)

I have some concern about this and you are right...you can stop a plastic fan blade that only weighs a few ounces. Once the plywood is spinning at top speed (being heavier at approximately 3x the weight of the fan blade assembly) it's got more momentum. I can press my fingertips on the carpet...

    DIY Polisher...be gentle :-)

So, I have been wanting a ball polisher and see the usual professional equipment and a range of diy buckets to Gold Crown. My son just turned 15 and wants to be an engineer, so I started showing him Youtube vids and pictures of lots of different ways to build one and challenged him to come up...

Got my table in the house today.

I watched a lot of my new table getting set up. They stretched the cloth over the slate a lot further than I would have expected and did so with a cloth puller - special jaws pair of pliers. You can likely do that well enough by hand, but the pliers gave added leverage to at least make it...

Got my table in the house today.

I’d be surprised if you cannot find a mechanic who will set up your table - esp since you already moved yourself - for well under $1000. Maybe try mechanics out of Kansas City and be willing to wait until someone is headed your way for another job so you don’t pay for all their travel expense.

    The perfect GC1, 2, 3, 4, 5, &6, really?

Some of the content of this thread is unfortunate and perhaps preventable. Here is a thought to at least consider... A person cannot control other people/situations - but each of us has control over how we react to them/situations. Self control is a very difficult thing for most folks in...

    The perfect GC1, 2, 3, 4, 5, &6, really?

From Simonis...all the rails are cut from the side of the cloth not the end. So, when you turn those rail cuts to be the end rails that would create the so-called dreaded directionality...right? If so, seems like Simonis doesn't have a problem with it - as their factory cutting directions...

    The perfect GC1, 2, 3, 4, 5, &6, really?

Do you cut that hole in the slate a little bigger or for lack of better wording - dremel a little keyhole so that your 3/8 bolt has room to be on the centerline you made? Kinda like this...

    Best Tournament Light

The 2x4 LEDs are a good idea. The 6" round lights I suggested would be more to have the ability to increase overall brightness of the entire room. I don't think I would try to put these directly over the table as a light solution for a small area. They work/look best spread out.

Could Joe Rogan help with pool?

My post was more geared towards how golf, the game and equipment are cousins and how it’s popularity and money sheets on pool and was there a way to ride their coat tails. Most good solutions start with great questions. You seemed derailed about fuc yourself daddy. I won’t try to understand that.
