    9ball break

I'll keep practicing. Thanks for the comments. Now I'll practice without the magic rack. That comes closer to matching what I see on the 7ft tables, but it's still very different. It seems more random. Seems like the wing ball gets hit. Sometimes it goes into the end rail, some times...

    9ball break

T I'm playing APA as a skill level 4. When my break is working, that really adds up. Win the last few points, break, knock in one or two more and get a shot on the one? I don't have to run out. That string of shots is a big confidence booster and it shifts the momentum. I lost a round in...

    9ball break

What's weird is that some nights at the bar, I'm killing it. Other days like last night, I might make a ball elsewhere, but not the wing ball. I remember seeing a video somewhere saying what to change, but I can't find it now and can't remember. I'll experiment more on my table without the...

    9ball break

I tried it today on my table without the magic rack and I'm much less likely to make the wing ball. I'm racking it pretty tight. I don't see any gaps, but there definitely seems to be a difference. We'll see. I'll keep trying it with and without. I'll probably take the magic rack and try it...

    9ball break

I’ll add that at home I’m using a magic rack. At the bar, even when I’m practicing, and I am racking very carefully to make sure there are no gaps, it still hits high a little bit high like 2 inches.

    9ball break

Hi, At home, on an 8 foot table, I’m doing great on the 9 ball break. The wing ball is going in every time, and I’m focusing on what happens to the cue ball and the one ball. When I play on a 7 foot table, the wing ball is hitting just above the corner pocket every time. It doesn’t seem to...

    New Here? - Introduce Yourself

Hi, I'm Brett. I'm buying a house that finally has a big enough game room for a pool table. Having a pool table has kind of been a bucket list item for me since I was a kid. I got all excited thinking I was going to have a 17x20 game room. Turns out it's really 17x16 then it steps down in...
