    Longer cue for big tables?

This is very helpful. I'm not especially tall but I have unusually long arms. I find on larger tables, shots toward the middle of the table should be reachable without needing my non bridge hand to be over the table, but with a short cue it feels like my arm gets stuck between the table and my...

    Longer cue for big tables?

That's a fair point. I'm no fan of the rest. Id much prefer a long bridge to using the bridge, betraying my snooker roots.

    Longer cue for big tables?

I have the same preference. I have very flat, low mechanics and cueing with my right hand on top of rather than next to the table changes them, not for the better. The long cue helps play more shots flatter vs slightly jacked up.

    Longer cue for big tables?

I'm wondering if I'm alone in preferring a longer cue on nine foot tables. I used to play a lot of barbox pool and found a standard cue to be fine, but switching to mine foot tables, I had stroke problems with reachy shots. I started playing with a four inch extension all the time and I've...

how to travel with cues intl?

If you have a soft golf case, Club Glove makes a thing called a "stiff arm." It's a telescoping pole that protects clubs from being smacked lengthwise. I've traveled with a cue in a basic case, bungee corded to the stiff arm in my golf bag before, likewise with fishing rods. It's not 100% but...

    I made a case

This is very true. Though, I also have a Jill Hawk custom case with similar styling that I absolutely love. It'll stay my main case and this new one, I'll use for traveling light. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/jill-hawk-custom-case-leg-o-mutton.546960/

    Dress code in tournaments

This isn't true. Some of the big names have clothing sponsors. For the lesser guys, the money and free clothes aren't worth wearing stuff they don't like. The tour has standards, but they don't pay for the players' clothes. The tour doesn't, "drop" players. They play in through winning...

    I made a case

Thanks! I do all my own running rigging. I find leatherwork to be a friendly mix of that and boat carpentry. Order of operations is the biggest challenge. Saddle stitching is very time consuming.

    I made a case

Title kind of says it all. I'm not a leatherworker, but I am a sailor. I had some leather left over from building turnbuckle covers. A Stanley knife, some sail maker's needle and thread, and some very rudimentary leather forks, and I have a case. Interior is lined in lamb fleece, one tube...

    Dress code in tournaments

Indeed. It's too bad that pool is saddled with defeatists who don't think there is room for a gambling game in a country that worships fantasy football, Fan Duel, Draft kings et al.

    Dress code in tournaments

I didn't say that at all. I said that sports that create good fan experiences succeed regardless of the popularity of the sport. Steeplechase is a sport that doesn't appear on TV at all. Multinational corporations spend $10k per day to tailgate their events because the fan experience is good...

    Dress code in tournaments

Nice, the Southwest is awesome. Go to the Waste Management next spring. Get a hospitality package. See how many bros are spending $10k+ for the weekend to get housed on light beer and cocaine. Those are our customers. Give them a degenerate weekend away from home and they'll make the...

    Dress code in tournaments

That's precisely my point. We have steeplechase races that net in the high six figures per day with no TV and no TV ads. The sponsors are some of the biggest companies on earth buying experiences for clients and employees, none of whom give two craps about steeplechase. It works because the...

Who's your favorite steeplechase pony? Top ticket in my area is $15k. You don't need Rolex. Your local HVAC company makes a great sponsor.

    Dress code in tournaments

I don't think that's true. I live in a major metro and we have waiting lists for most of our leagues. Sports gambling in the US is practically a national religion.

    Dress code in tournaments

You don't need to be on ESPN. Polo season in Florida and the steeplechase seasons in the mid Atlantic do great numbers on gate receipts without any tv coverage at all. Tickets packages running from $50 to $10k, great guest experiences, lots of perceived value. Likewise spring season pro...

    Dress code in tournaments

This definitely isn't true. Live sporting events do very well with substantial sponsorship without national TV coverage. Minor League baseball, second tier boxing, steeple chase, polo, and women's golf are all viable without a national TV audience.

    Dress code in tournaments

These threads are funny. Looking at the players to bring in sponsors is looking in the wrong direction. Sponsors buy audiences not athletes. The players could play stark naked and if the audience was large and rich enough, Rolex would be in. The most likely sponsorship opportunities...

    Wood over CF shaft options

There won't be anymore made, but you can still find an OB Fusion here and there. I've played them for years and pick one up anytime I get a chance.

    Cameras that stream

If this is a question, I'd recommend looking at OBSbot. They have some nice PTZ web cameras that are easy to set up and make good pictures.
