Ralph Souquet and Albin Ouschan are both cross eye dominant players. Lots of photos of them out there.

Stance Advice for Very Tall Player

So I got a little more footage last night from the pool hall. Something I noticed is how much my cue rises on my backswing. I've recorded myself many times and this is something I have never payed attention to. It seems that I'm raising my shoulder as I extend my elbow, I also wonder if I...

Stance Advice for Very Tall Player

Thanks, Yeah I've watched videos of Ruslan. He is tall, I'll revisit some of his matches again though. I'm 4+ inches taller than him I believe. I wanna say he uses like a 3 inch extension or something like that kinda like Jung-Lin Chang and Dennis Grabe.

Stance Advice for Very Tall Player

Thanks I appreciate that, you're right I can always go back to things I need to keep that in mind. I have been adjusting to the higher stance a bit and seeing the lines better than initially. I did get my 9" extension (which is lighter than I expected) and I intend to take more photos of the...

Stance Advice for Very Tall Player

It looks like its around 10 or more inches at times, I'm going to measure it when I get to the pool hall. My bridge before was probably 7 to 8, I guess I can have a long bridge with a shorter back stroke too. I have been trying to stand a bit higher, which does feel more stable but a little...

Stance Advice for Very Tall Player

I did try using a 6" plus a 4" extension together today and I did like the feel of it, but it's 4 pieces the cue can kinda wobbles at times. I was thinking about trying to get another cue with maybe with a single 8" extension. But overall it did feel natural, might have to use another one of my...

Looking for insight on stance, 6 foot 8 pool player

I've watched quite a bit of his footage. I wanna say he's around 6'4 or even 6'5. He has a solid stance, seems like he kinda straightens his back leg as he's dropping on the shotline.

Looking for insight on stance, 6 foot 8 pool player

Biggest tables we have are 9 foot diamonds which are all I play on, but yeah leaning into the table and using the slate isn't an issue for me. Haha there's only one spot on the table I can't reach, but I just play those shots lefty. Don't really use the bridge which could bite me cause in a rare...

2022 World Cup of Pool Draw: Thoughts and Predictions Thread

I think Poland is pretty strong and has a lot of potential this year. I really like Fortuński and Wojciech Szewczyk is pretty dang good. But yeah I'm stoked, I love the world cup!

Looking for insight on stance, 6 foot 8 pool player

I'll give that video a watch, I like Tor Lowry but I haven't seen this one. Excellent points, I appreciate your input. I thought I put a lot of effort and thought into my stance but I think I need to dive deeper and really observe how everything feels on a closer level.

Looking for insight on stance, 6 foot 8 pool player

Yeah the past couple of days that's what I've been trying to achieve, both feet facing forward. I've got somethings to tweak and try. Definitely gotten a lot of suggestions from this thread. I'm going to experiment with quite a few different things just to see how they feel. Thanks so much for...

Stance Advice for Very Tall Player

Yeah that's a good point, If I can't find a way to make things work lower it might be worth revisiting in the future with a new mindset.

Looking for insight on stance, 6 foot 8 pool player

I place the cue under my right eye. I'm right handed the pictures are inversed due to how I recorded on my phone I probably should have mentioned that. The square stance is what I was trying out yesterday for around 5 hours, I like the results as far as getting my vision over the cue correctly...

Stance Advice for Very Tall Player

I have tried that before in the past. It did alleviate knee pain and the heart palpitations I was getting at the time from bending over. But I felt like my shot-making declined. I'm not knocking the higher stance there are definitely players who can shoot great that way but personally I had a...

Looking for insight on stance, 6 foot 8 pool player

Thanks man, I've watched all his videos hah and they're very helpful. I tried to emulate his stance with the stiff back leg, I've noticed he actually slides it back when he's going down on the shot. But when I've tried this I shift my weight onto my front knee. I've been waiting for a video he...

Stance Advice for Very Tall Player

Thanks for the reply I appreciate it. I do have another mid shaft extension that I can add to the mix which would put 4 more inches. It does add some more weight though I believe my cue is already around 22oz. I'll experiment with it today and see how it feels. I was trying a more square open...
