"It's the Indian, not the arrow" the most nonsense I've ever heard.....

Anybody can play with anything decent, it's not just a few people, it's everybody. Playing with an expensive cue with inlays just makes you feel good about the appearance. Maybe that can give you a bit of an edge? Maybe not.

Decent 8 ball run out, your thoughts please.

The league I am on, in the winter session when more people participate, overflows from the bar boxes on to the 9-ft tables. I love playing on the 9-ft tables, not because it's easy, but I love the fact that not many practice on 9-ft tables, just the 7 ft Bar Boxes. I feel like I have an...

Decent 8 ball run out, your thoughts please.

How many times out of 10 can you run out from the break?

    59” or 60” cues

I am 6 ft 1 in tall and love the extra inch on a cue stick. I also grip the cue almost to the end of the butt which seems a bit odd but that is what is comfy for me. I look at my elbow forearm angle and it is pretty much straight up and down and not at a higher angle then 90°. I tried to shorten...

Get off my lawn, Things I hate in pool today

There are a few players in the league I am in that are incredibly slow, and it is a struggle to stay focused with a good attitude and not get upset at their slowness. It's like they are in a trance and got to figure out every angle from start to finish at that particular time.

Get off my lawn, Things I hate in pool today

100% agree, as it wouldn't be too difficult to accommodate the customers in either expense or work. It sure would add a nice touch to rooms instead of lining up cue sticks on drinking tables and such.

Get off my lawn, Things I hate in pool today

How about those who insist on talking politics while playing.

GREEN LABEL MALI---NOS from WAMBOLD ESTATE!!! LOOK SWEET!

I'd love to buy a Mali, but don't know if they are still for sale, and there isn't that much detail to be able to make a decision. Could you please give some prices if they are still for sale?

    Non-Gambling Pool Players

I would imagine that a lot of skirmishes arise over not agreeing on the rules of any particular game. How I play 8 ball, for example, might be different than another's rules of play.

    Tip keeps getting shredded

To me the tip looks a bit worn out (thin) and flattened. The shape looks like it's has been used as a break cue and never reshaped, and pounded until it split. A flat tip will not absorb the shock as well as a rounded tip, at least it seems that way with me? In all my time playing pool I have...

What's the thoughts on this case?

I have a JB rugged case, blue nylon, and they are built like tanks.

What's the thoughts on this case?

Only because you might want to. Probably very true, and would be very enticing to try to get some good cash! There is always a buyer out there if you put it on a site that is populated well.

What's the thoughts on this case?

    I'm 69 and would keep it. Isn't 80 like the new 60?

    USPS....

It is a gov agency, and unionized as well. I worked for 35 years in the local electrical utility industry, and we were Union workers, and I can't believe how many people hide behind the Union because they are lazy. Unions are great if they are used properly, but where there is the ability to...

What's the thoughts on this case?

It looks like it is built solidly, and if so, I would keep it and use it. You can't take it with you, if you know what I mean.

    Tip keeps getting shredded

I put a bulletproof synthetic soft tip on one of my sticks and am having great results. It grabs the ball like a leather tip would, and doesn't mushroom out or deform with normal play.

    Non-Gambling Pool Players

I just don't have the nerve to play for anything more than $5 a match. So I don't gamble.
