The best player in a pool tournament wins far FAR more often than the best player in a poker tournament. Which is part of why so many more people play poker than pool.

SVB missed at least 4 times in that set. Nobody has ever run the entire set out in any game at the derby. They even have a rule for it, if the opening player runs out the set then the other player gets a chance to match it. It has never been used.

It's exactly 1 additional shot. Meaning when you make like a 5-10combo now you have to make the ten again to complete the runout. Obviously that's what I was refering to.

Ten Ball last doesn’t add anything aside from 1 additional shot to the run out. It’s a completely moronic rule if we’re being honest. The moneyball should win the game when made, it’s not complicated.

I don’t think the game was broken before templates came along. As long as people had to hit them firm the game was fine. There’s not a thing wrong with occasional packages. In one pocket, a wise player can be an enormous difference. Yes, playing 9 ball advice would rarely make much difference at all. Not arguing that. But people play more games than just 9 ball.

What you're saying makes a lot of sense however it's simply not real life. If I'm watching a live stream of a match and 2 guys are 600 level players. Relatively evenly matched and I can easily swing the match by just telling one guy in his earpiece to play off one side or the other of the 14...

But it's not. It has no historical meaning at all. He's a player chasing titles. A damn impressive one too.
