    multi cue holder

25 years ago, when attending BCA/VNEA tournaments at the Riviera in Vegas, there was a guy selling multi cue holders made from a sheet of plastic....think milk jug material, only thicker....that had holes for 9+ cues and a 3 inch C clamp to attach to a table. very handy for team events. It...

Dear Russians - was there ever Russian chalk?

my old school pool room had chalk in holders suspended from the ceiling on strings. reach up, pull it down, chalk your cue, release and it snapped back up. Now this was an old system, and there was also chalk on the tables. But the "old-timey" suspended chalk mechanism was still there.

Before I pull the trigger... am I making a mistake?

guy on our pool team from Albuquerque had a family friendly pool room, no booze, youth leagues, etc. still in business as far as I know, but he ran it as a benefit to the community, not as a source of income, he had other business interests. so long as it broke even he was happy.

Before I pull the trigger... am I making a mistake?

I would hold off any major purchases until after the November elections. If Congress flips, the next 2 years are going to be very uncertain. Very.

Before I pull the trigger... am I making a mistake?

I always thought that a high school pool league would be a novel idea....like any other sport like football or basketball. Maybe 8 or 10 local schools in a league, playing each other in a round-robin schedule.

    Question for old timers@

ah ha!!!! The best 3 cushion player in my small town pool hall was the local cobbler by the name of Polly Owens. This is what I knew him as, but it may have been Paulie Owens. I loved going into his shop, it smelled so good with the leather and glues, it was probably about 1910 vintage...

I didn't even ask for a tour, it was almost like I came in the back door, non-public entry. Heck, maybe I did. It was very industrial setting, not fancy, all work, type of place in an industrial part of Milwaukee/south side?? if I recall correctly.

    Super Billiards Expo 2026

Eating horsemeat is still legal in France, among other places, although not as popular as it once was. Places serving "horse" in France had a "sign" outside that was a horse's head.

    Chicago pool happenings

I am an Illinois native. Worked for the IL Dept. of Insurance for 13+ years, spent half that time in the greater Chicago area. But I left for good in 1988 with no regrets. I live in and love Georgia.
