Any billiards companies interested in working with us? - Dartmouth Billiards Student Organization

Thank you guys for your replies. I will take the information and try to apply it to the club. Let me know if you have any other ideas or would be interested in working with us.

Any billiards companies interested in working with us? - Dartmouth Billiards Student Organization

We have a faculty member, but that's because every club has to have a faculty member. She doesn't spend much time in the billiards arena, but she was willing to help be a part of the club, so it means a lot. I'm not sure of any professors on campus who are super involved, as I haven't seen them...

Any billiards companies interested in working with us? - Dartmouth Billiards Student Organization

I actually like that idea. I could potentially post it online with our Instagram or even try to get it in the school paper. Let me look into that.

Any billiards companies interested in working with us? - Dartmouth Billiards Student Organization

The administration was very strictly against us putting up items making reference to our club, including copies of the rules. It's very nonsensical, but the rules are the rules.

Any billiards companies interested in working with us? - Dartmouth Billiards Student Organization

I know it seems like we have infinite resources because of Dartmouth's name, but it doesn't work like that. Schools don't consider billiards to be a serious program, which makes them less likely to allocate funding to us. I have tried speaking to Dartmouth's student activities board about asking...

Any billiards companies interested in working with us? - Dartmouth Billiards Student Organization

Hey guys, I hope this post finds you well during this winter season. My name is Jason A. Davis and I am the president and founder of Dartmouth Billiards Student Organization, the official billiards program at Dartmouth College. I've reached out before on this forum with lots of success, and I...

COLLEGES INTERESTED IN STARTING BILLIARDS LEAGUE?

I tried contacting Mark Wilson, but he sadly didn't have much help for me anyways.

COLLEGES INTERESTED IN STARTING BILLIARDS LEAGUE?

I emailed the Billiards Education Program, but I haven't gotten back anything. Should I send another reachout email or try to talk them directly?

COLLEGES INTERESTED IN STARTING BILLIARDS LEAGUE?

I emailed their activities section for hobby clubs, but they said that there's no cohort for billiards.

COLLEGES INTERESTED IN STARTING BILLIARDS LEAGUE?

For now, I'd probably focus on getting colleges interested and solidifying the league. Then, I can start thinking about getting any further affliation like through the NCAA or NJCAA. I think that's a good idea though. I just don't want to get too far ahead of myself.

COLLEGES INTERESTED IN STARTING BILLIARDS LEAGUE?

That sounds fantastic. Is there anyone at West Point that I can talk to?

COLLEGES INTERESTED IN STARTING BILLIARDS LEAGUE?

Yeah, it sounds like a great idea. The qualifier could certainly help us with the entry fees, so we would likely try to host in early June.

Can someone explain how someone could qualify for US Youth Championships?

Roy Pastor was helpful. Thanks again!

COLLEGES INTERESTED IN STARTING BILLIARDS LEAGUE?

I didn't see your other post about the U22 Nationals until after I replied to your previous message. Our school can host a national qualifier for the BEF, but if it's open registration, then players won't be concerned with not qualifying. Thus, maybe we could ask the BEF to let us host a...

    New Here? - Introduce Yourself

Off topic, but what are some good channels/tournaments to watch billiards?

Can someone explain how someone could qualify for US Youth Championships?

There's just so many leagues to navigate, but I guess you can say the same for any other sport.

Can someone explain how someone could qualify for US Youth Championships?

Thanks guys! I saw on the BEF website that they also host national qualifiers for U-14, U-16, U-18, and U-22 divisions. We could maybe host one of these national qualifiers for all these divisions, but then the U-22 division is open-registration. Could we maybe advertise it as a regional...

COLLEGES INTERESTED IN STARTING BILLIARDS LEAGUE?

Thanks Bob! So far, we have a couple of interested schools, so we are making progress. In my research, I looked into the Billiards Education Program and saw the U-22 Division as a possible division for National Qualifier, but not a division for a national championship. I see that as a gap for...

Colleges in the US that have an active pool team/community?

Do you have a contact that I could reach out to?

Colleges in the US that have an active pool team/community?

The list is pretty old actually, so I don't know if they still have a program, Most of the schools on this list I reached out to, and their programs were not established.
