Europe made a lot of mistakes too. Imo they only played marginally better than in the Reyes Cup.

Some rich AZ billiards fan can sure spare a million to set up a training fund for a bunch of talents? Grow them now. I find it peculiar that pool is so ingrained in USA culture but no angel investor to be found? Joe Rogan?

Also I believe Bob Jewett pointed out a billiards player did this to prevent anyone accusing said player of using the chalk to measure kick shots.

Well lets hope USA gets a couple rolls and grab a win and start believin'. It does feel exactly like last Reyes cup. Europe immediately trailing a lot, seemingly not feeling it, no teamspirit, then win a point or two with a slimmer of hope.... aaaand they lost.

I would be curious what would happen if some rich person adopted the best 10 youth (16-18yr old) players and get them trained full throttle. Training camp, trips to Phillipines, everything. Hmm well they would make a solid team probably, but won't beat world class players out of nowhere. Never...

And lets not forget Alcaide making that final shot. Cold.

Europe has one hell of a line up

Its his coping mechanism. Anyway, I hope USA gets on their feet. The Reyes Cup was kind of boring and a similar result, with Europe winning would be equally boring tbh. When it's kind of close the Mosconi Cup is perhaps the most fun event to watch!

If a new movie was to be made it has to be a different genre. Not the semi crime/drama like we know, but something completely different. The challenge of course is to incorporate pool in a way that makes sense. So that it is part of the story line/tension and so that the audience can tell why...

Team notAsia Team Mortals Team Participation Team Pocket Poolers Seriously I mightve gone for team World, even though that includes Asia. In the end a format with Team USA x Team Europe (Mosconi cup) and Team Phillipines x Team Asia with the Reyes Cup being the final would be awesome.
