I found this is a great addition to the @Cueist app. I cut a piece of wood on that one side = 1 ball width and the other one is is 2 ball widths. I have an 8ft table so the block is roughly 2" x4". This is actually less than a ball width because it would be exactly one ball width on a 5x9...

Talked a few Americans and none complained about the crowd... It was very loud and I would like to see them quiet down when the shooter is down on the shot... When you are there, it is just plain exciting!
