    Championship 3030 stretching...

Hi RKCI have been using your method of starting points with index etc for napless cloths . I have been now using this method for napped cloths{Strachan 6811} The traditional method of recovering snooker tables etc is to pin the baulk end with a few staples then the foot end with a few in the...

Hi guys. im a table installer from OZ. Any you guys like any of the battery staplers out there? I have tried 2 now but there too slow and too bulky for doing rails and cant get accurate with staples. k55 rubber quality

Hi guys, i just done an install in a local pool hall with K55 rubbers bought from my local supplier here in Australia. It seems they differ in quality. They dont seem very responsive. They have no badge or sticker on them. i bought them for $145 AUS . Would it seem i have bought poor quality rubber?

I am thinking of buying them clips used for pulling tarps tight etc.have them maybe every few inches attached to metal or timber 4x2 maybe. the 2 clips at edge pull the cloth tight along the timber and the clips in center holding the cloth...

    prototype cloth puller

yes this has crossed my mind. But also if u do manage to stretch whole lot and get the pole pushed under the slate, it would be very easy to hold as the slate taking most of the load while u simply clamp in place.

    prototype cloth puller

No i haven't actually gotten further than what i show in pic.The trouble im having is the stretch from end of pole to other end and keeping weaves straight. I need something like a feather strip type clamp rather than the teeth on the carpet edge i think. Not sure bye the time i set it all up...

    prototype cloth puller

I came up with this idea to easily stretch cloth. In pic i have a piece of square fence tubing and carpet edging with nails sticking out. This way you can pull a whole side together right on your index and easily clamp before stapling. Has this ever been thought of before? Or am i on to...

All, installers i have seen use this method. I'm...

    cutting cloth off rails

yes the side to side was no struggle. It was the last foot rail that i couldnt physically pull anymore and had to contend with it being 25-30 mm short of target line.

    cutting cloth off rails

Also if you dont mind. On anchor side of side pocket i pulled in 20 mm and on pull side i went 15mm(not sure why they should be different).I ended up with creases at apex of side pocket slate. I had to remove around 20 staples at side of pocket to release some slack and got the ripples out.This...

    cutting cloth off rails

So would it be wise to just cap the index at around 50mm? Perhaps the way the cloth is made, it's pulling more at sides than length?
