Completely different temperament and focus level from Earl early on today. Missed a couple of easy safeties though and probably going to go down 1-2 to the kid. Good poise and play from Chang early on though

Earl is definitely already on tilt watching JJ & Kledio take 2.5 hrs to play a race to 9

    Price of Mosconi Tickets

Yes, as others have said - this is part of the reason why there's no money in pool. Pool players are, as a whole, incredibly frugal

JJ hanging in there, 4-4 vs. Kledio on the TV table. Neither player has played well, though JJ probably closer to his level

I've watched a few Sigel matches and he has never impressed me the way guys like Buddy Hall, Earl, and Johnny have. Do you (or anyone else) have any recommendations for matches to find where Sigel just boat raced somebody or looked like an all-time great player? His matches are entertaining, I...

Went back and was watching some of the old Billiards Network games that they had Earl commentate was making me think about a few things 1. Outstanding content for anyone trying to improve their game, patterns, and cue ball control. Earl goes about it in his own way, but he really does a good...

    U.S. OPEN 2026, Frisco, Texas, August 25-30

Sky hasn't played well the last several times I've seen him play, he's certainly not playing anywhere near his Fargo rating at the moment. Manny Perez has a ton of game but feels like you never see him play big events. Seems like he typically is playing Midwest tournaments and has probably run...

I wonder what Kaci's reputation is like amongst his peers. In person & in interviews he always comes across as a good dude, he's just also an insane online troll lol

    U.S. OPEN 2026, Frisco, Texas, August 25-30

Which American player not named Shane or Fedor doesn’t dog more balls than a top player should? Earl struggles with certain types of long shots, but when he’s focused he still routinely makes tough run outs look easy. He breaks like me and can’t even spell jump cue, but the rest of his game is...

Have said it repeatedly, break shot aside, Earl remains a top 4-5 American player. An incredible talent

    Phoenix Open - August 18-22

To be fair, the jump shot looked to be extremely tough…the break shot though, that was unbelievable. Kind of funny that Shane ended up winning that rack. Karl Boyes quote was great: “if you’re just joining us tonight, we are playing 9 ball here folks believe it or not”

To be fair, I suspect a lot of people... those people just aren't going to be people posting on a billiards message board.

    WPBA Fine of $2,000

I'm actually not sure what they do get that is of value... they get to pay to compete in the WPBA events? Almost certainly in the agreement to restrict competition and for self-preservation. Players have no leverage

    Phoenix Open - August 18-22

Every part of his game seems to be strong right now - he's breaking well (and getting decent rolls), moving well, and jumping well. Feels like he hasn't missed a bank since the Reagan administration. His interview with Molina Mike & Panozzo after the Florida open was outstanding, it is clear...

And Shane is playing as well as I've ever seen him play (though I've only really watched for the last 5 yrs or so).

I agree yet she's grossed, what, $70K in the last 3 years?

    WPBA Fine of $2,000

I guess it depends on how you define reasonable and how you define elite. To me it is incredibly unreasonable to fine players for playing in alternative events when they are barely breaking even playing in your sanctioned events. How can you be both "elite" and broke?
