I have a $4,000 budget, looking for classic cues

Indeed, agreed, so kind of you to say...thanks for that buddy. I have truly loved this cue, since before it even came to be mine Oh yeah, I actually JUST read something about Mr Helmstetter innovating with some design (or) concept applied to making drivers Aand yes, this cue is now officially...

    Sold Old/Original early 70's Adam A-H Corsair 36

I'm not 100% sure, I 100% know what that's asking...but if it means is there a wobble in the shaft when rolled, then no, nothing I could detect, everything rolled astonishingly flat, when I checked it a few days ago

    Sold Old/Original early 70's Adam A-H Corsair 36

This cue has only been lightly used, and is in fantastic shape (I'd say around 95% with my limited knowledge) as it has always been deeply loved and very attentively cared for, with few minor cosmetic surface scrapes, 1 small ding on shaft Both butt and shaft roll flat seperate and together...

Could use a hand learning about this cue plz

Ohhh, ok, thanks I don't necessarily need to "max out", 'cause I'm not trying to retire off it by any means, but I may have a specific need to fulfill Pretty much, if I do let it go, it's going to be to help my sis out, so I'd hope for a "fair for both of us outcome" ideally...if it can meet...

Why I Quit After Playing Almost Everyday for 30 Years

Speed and power as independent from each other? I'm not physicist, but that sounds weird "The stronger the muscle, the quicker the bone" comes to mind...my wrestling coach said that Sounds like however much power is exerted, determines the speed, and the speed of the cb determines how much...

Too true...I'm not yet 50, and I miss the days of young and mature/wise, or even middle aged & mature/wise, not being exceedingly rare, much less mutually exclusive combinations to come across Although I spent a good chunk of my young adult years traveling (and even another bunch of years once...

Could use a hand learning about this cue plz

Ummm, I would say I probably don't have the breadth of experience swinging a variety of truly great cues to answer that with the kind of sincerity & detail, the more established members here could Aand I haven't swung it myself, since I think '09 maybe (I'm working on getting it out there asap)...

    Cue Prices... Rediiculous!!!

I'm glad this ol' thread popped up...I enjoyed reading the entire thing (keeping "my mouth shut" & thumb off the like button 'til I reached present day 😅) As an artist myself (a benchworking/mounted torch borosilicate glassblower) we experience similar, with startup/equipment, time & wasted...

Could use a hand learning about this cue plz

Haha, sorry if that was a dumb question. In my journey to becoming a specialist in a thing or two...I've experienced suddenly becoming aware of the existence of much more nuanced, and ever finer levels of knowledge & understanding than I 1st expected (like, right when ya think ya know...

Niiice...is there something in particular that makes a biagio? That's a new 1 for me, so I took a look & it seems like kind of a sub brand that was made my many different names ...which made me curious if there's any distinctive features they all have in common

Could use a hand learning about this cue plz

It is indeed, thx. From what I've seen looking around when I was trying to identify it, it sounded like it was pretty common for them to be swelling, warping & generally falling apart after 25 - 30 yrs This 1 appears to have had a good & easy life from the start ...lucky

Heh heh...it'd be a peach of a house cue, no doubt. But I can't imagine they'd last long in that setting, yikes Whattaya know about the original shafts for these that makes ya say that?

Could use a hand learning about this cue plz

I'm quite sure I know it's an Adam A-H Corsair (36?) from mid 70's What I'm unsure of, and what I'd like to know is how 1 of y'all ultra knowledgeable folks would assess its condition, and whether it's had any repair or restoration work done to it...but my feeling is that it hasn't I've had...
