    Chalk brands

Dr Dave's most interesting info on Magic Chalk is on his website where he was impressed in how Magic Chalk prevented miscues. This is just a couple snippets from that webpage: Concerning the “number of hits until miscue,” Silver Cup was very similar to Master (flag and pre-flag) and Lava...

    Chalk brands

Dr Dave's interest in the 8-year old Pool/Billiards/Snooker Cling/Skid/Kick Examples and Chalk Comparison was whether types of chalk stick to the cue ball causing cling between cue ball and object ball. I couldn't find info on whether chalk ended up on the table. Magic Chalk didn't stick to...

    Cuesoul tips?

At Cuesoul's website, Cuesoul only sells cue tips for more than $15. eBay, too, only had Cuesoul tips costing more than $16 for sale. Your $7 cue tip sounds too good to be true.

Shafts that look good --- Hsunami, JT & McDermott ---Got others?

You got some explaining to do: Country of origin, year, WTF is it (jump cue but I doubt it), company, wood types, is the hit really different, was there a second one made?

Shafts that look good --- Hsunami, JT & McDermott ---Got others?

Jacoby's Element cue is laminated in the butt and in Jacoby's Ultra wood shafts. Colored laminated sheets are used in the butt but not in the standard Ultra wood shaft. Jacoby makes a few shafts, however, that look like the multi-colored butt. They aren't on the Jacoby website. This shaft is...

    Amazing collection on Ebay

They can be gaudy. The first below is described as inlaid marquetry cue, circa 1850s, loaded with cloisenne, comprised of ivory, brass, tortoise, spelter, and enamel, double spliced, ivory buttplate and ferrule. Also shown is a Meucci wannabe Casino _

Has anyone seen cue work like this before?

I take that back. I think there ought to be much interest because cue designs are so similar while this cue is different with a sophisticated, quality approach design. But . . . . . . buyers appear quite comfortable with the limited cue designs now and new design with high quality wouldn't...

Has anyone seen cue work like this before?

Yes, there would be much interest in the cue because of the beauty, the quality, the effort in its manufacture, and its uniqueness. It is not like others I have seen. Probably the better question is what would it sell for? Of course, you could get double, triple or quadruple what cheaper...

What's wrong with using bocote for a shaft? Sure looks good!

All cues are 58" length, all cue-tip diameters 12.5mm, and cue weights are 19.1, 18.9, 18.9 and 18.8 ounces. No weights given for just the butt or shaft.

IQ cues -> Quantum shaft vs infinity shaft

IQ Cues' specs describe their shafts as normal shafts. I found no description on their website that describes how the shafts differ from others.

Several Jacoby bocote butts and shafts are on sale on eBay. What's wrong with using bocote in a shaft? Photos of four on sale are below: https://www.ebay.com/itm/398084713652?mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&customid=link&campid=5335988529&toolid=20001&mkevt=1...

Shafts that look good --- Hsunami, JT & McDermott ---Got others?

Why not? The seller lists cue weight at 19 ounces but does not give a weight for shaft. AI described it as an incredibly dense, heavy wood with a Janka hardness of 2010 lbf. It contains a lot of natural oils, making it highly resistant to rot and decay.

Shafts that look good --- Hsunami, JT & McDermott ---Got others?

Jacoby butt and shaft are bocote with good dose of gloss. No inlays, decals, or colors on shaft but still is special. See four more bocote cues at https://forums.azbilliards.com/thre...ng-bocote-for-a-shaft-sure-looks-good.588083/ _ __
