Brick Cues . . . I've got one of his break/jumps as well . . . OUTSTANDING! GLWTS.

Whoooooooa! High/Low points are the Schnitzel! Gorgeous veneers on this one. Andy Gilbert makes one of the very best players cues too . . . GLWTS!

Lighting . . . I like lots of light on a table . . . I have an 8 1/2" Brunswick with a 4 lamp incandescent fixture over the table. Height from the floor to the bottom of the fixture shades is 63". I use 4 GE 100 watt Reveal's and it does great . . . looks like Yankee Friggin' Stadium baby!

Break Cues You might want to try out an Alex Brick Dymondwood, a Mike Gulyassey SledgeHammer, and a Steve Lomax. They also make very good ones as well as the list you started.

Couple of more . . . There's so much available in that price range . . . and you'll be getting a deal at that because the market is so depressed for stuff over $600 or so. I'd definitely hit a Steve Lomax and an Andy Gilbert before you plunk down the cheese.

Great advice . . . I do this as well every time I play . . . moist brown paper towels are a great way to burnish and slick up a shaft. I still go to my cue repair guy and have it sanded and re-sealed, but using the paper towels makes that happen a whole lot less often.

If I didn't know better . . . Looks like a "Pro" taper to me . . .

Jump cues . . . Steve Lomax . . . REALLY good - really! Alex Brick . . . jump/break combo made of Dymondwood - REALLY good! Mueller's - Ryan . . . jump or jump break - REALLY good! Original Gulyassy Sledgehammer jump/break - REALLY good! I mean . . . really.

Shaft is a clunker . . . Proper shaft for a Joss cue is a piloted 5/16-14 thread . . . the pilot extends outward from the threads of the joint on the shaft, and goes down into the void in the joint of the butt. This fills the void, and makes the shaft to butt joint more "filled" (solid)...

Bumpin' it again . . . Nice cue here . . . for not a lot 'a dough.
