Make sure you get a good caliper and sanity check it. Bought a second one a few years back and it was consistently 4-5 thou off. Fine for stupid measurements like cues, but could be catastrophic when reloading (the original intent)...

Which cue lines do they call "thin"? My Virtuoso is .5mm thicker than Throne and Blak (still can't believe I can feel the difference). I can get measurements when I get home if you want.

Many of the J/B cues are good. I've got a J&J and a Players I used in the past and they were both great. One I traded my old Players playing cue for an the other was $120, I think. Switched to shiny new stuff a couple years ago just because I can.

I must have gotten a bad one because the Sniper that came on my SVB Gen1 was the WORST tip i've ever played with. Miscues for days (especially on soft shots), didn't hold chalk, and looked like a portabella after a few sessions. Just made the switch from Kamui last week. I've been experimenting...
