I've always chalked my cue the same and I'd go thru a block of Master or later the Predator 1080 (also junk) every couple weeks. A block of Pure lasts me 8-9 months. I only grab a new one when I start dropping it out if I lose it (feed it to a ProAm...).

I try to avoid it, but doesn't mean everyone does. If someone is taking a shot directly at me, I usually move before if I can. Otherwise I'll usually side eye the table so it doesn't look like I'm staring down their shot.

I second this. Issues with racking are almost always worn/dirty/mismatched balls or the table being trained inconsistently. I'll add that the rack being clean is important too. I've had even the good racks hold onto the 1 because they've got gunk where the ball touches and it sticks. Easily...

I love my Predator Urbain. I also love a lot of the custom(ized) cases I see around here, but I prefer a case that can be easily replaced. Its job is to protect my cues and look fine.

The "bunting" discourse is BS. Current pros have ridiculous speed control and can play with just as much power as pros past. The difference is with the modern (often longer) stroke and the lack of body movement it doesn't *look* like they're hitting it that hard. Duong is a fantastic example.
