Sometimes the pieces just fall into place! I reached a milestone recently with the purchase of a Bulls/Pistons NBA set. I have always hoped for this exact set so I was amazed when one appeared. It completes my rivalry shelf which I think adds a bit of fun to the collection.

Thanks RC! My JW set came in a generic box so I've always wondered what the original looks like. I'm sure it was nice. If anyone has an example I would like to see it.

I bought a Johnnie Walker gift set at Costco. Perfect for an evening of comparing the blends while playing the Johnnie Walker set. The box was the same size as a billiard ball box so my set also got a nice new home.

You either have them or you don't. Sometimes that's the bottom line. He paid a lot but he wanted that set. I don't see them that often. I've overpaid for the same reason - I'm focused on the collection. It was more money than I expected so it will be interesting to watch the ZigZag and Hex sets...

Thanks LBF. It's amazing to me that they're that old. That must be why you don't see them very often. I see the 1 7/8" size occasionally but not the larger.

I completely agree. I've been looking for a set of these for a long time because the colors are so beautiful. We hosted Thanksgiving and everyone insisted on playing the 'old clays'. I took some closeups to show how interesting the colors are. Thanks again.
