I figured it out. I used a metal roll pin, a metal dowel and 2 zip ties. Simply placed the roll pin under the 4 levers on the top of the slide and held it in place with the zip ties. I placed the dowel under the 2 bottom levers which fit snug with the spring tension on the levers. It will still...

I recently posted the restoration of my 1963 Valley table. I purchased a custom set of rails and bumpers from Penguin Amusements and let me tell you, the K55 bumpers have great action. No ball bounce off the rails. I was very pleased with the customer service from Penguin Amusements.

I have never done any work with laminate but I think I did a fine job on this table. I am not too happy about the corners so I might come up with some custom corner protectors. There's just a tiny gap where the ends meet. Thanks again RKC for the tip to remove the old laminate. The felt goes on...

Old laminate has been removed. Next will be glue removal.

I appreciate your feedback. This is why I decided to join this group. My answer to your question is that I have never tried to remove laminate and wasn't sure if it would be a major job to do so. If it's as easy as it sounds, then I might just remove the old and prep the surface.

Thanks for the info. I ordered a custom set from Penguin Amusements. Fully assembled without any holes. I will drill pilot holes before installing the screws.

I finally got someone at Penguin Amusements to help me. He said he could send me a set of blank rails 40" long, milled for K-55 rubbers and no holes. $133 for the set or he could make a set with K-55 rubbers, no holes drilled and covered for $333.
