That sounds amazing. I like trying a run out again if I fail when practising, but I just take a photo after the break then set it up the best I can so it's always a very rough approximation of what the exact layout was. Wish a club near me had that set up.

You are right that it happens in multiple sports, but I think there is a section of the viewership that gets frustrated with it in every sport too. I can see both sides on it. Basically if you are intending to watch the other match later it's infuriating, but if you don't it's nice to know.

The pocket shape makes 4 pockets harder and 2 pockets easier. Really surprised me when I started playing 9 ball that the American tables that I thought had buckets were actually quite tough to pot into the middle pockets compared to a UK table.
